A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
Titanium-coloured aluminium is the finish to reach for when black would read as a row of dark spots and white would look clinical. It is a mid-grey with a metallic cast that sits quietly against concrete, bluestone, rendered grey and natural timber, and it hides dust and water marking far better than either extreme. This is the plain-faced Nava — a round surface-mounted step light that fixes onto a wall rather than into it.
A recessed step light needs a cavity, a canister and a hole cut in the structure. The Nava needs none of that: it lands on a base plate screwed to the face of the wall. That makes it the fitting for solid brick, poured concrete, a finished render you will not cut, or a retrofit into a garden wall that is already built. There is no cut-out to specify and no aperture to get wrong.
Worth flagging at the quoting stage. The data sheet states this fitting has an external cable and the connection can only be made externally — there is no terminal chamber inside it. The 150 mm tail runs to a junction you provide, soldered and heat-shrunk or made off in a gel-filled IP67 connector (Havit lists the HV9911, HV9912 and HV9913). An unsealed joint voids the warranty, and on a surface-mounted fitting that joint is usually the most exposed part of the install.
A built-in 5 W LED behind a polycarbonate diffuser with a 120° beam and CRI above 80 — no globe and no socket to buy. Tri-colour switching gives 360 lm at 3000 K, 380 lm at 4000 K and 400 lm at 5500 K, chosen at installation from a switch on the PCB behind the diffuser. It arrives set to 3000 K, which suits the warm grey of the titanium finish. It does not dim.
The two codes are not the same fitting electrically. 240 V is Protection Class 1 and requires an earth; 12 V DC is Class 3 and requires none, but it does need a 12 V DC constant-voltage driver, sited within 25 m with supply inside ±5% of rated voltage. Outside that allowance Havit voids the warranty. Wiring is parallel, and the rating is IP65 with IK06 impact resistance.
Aluminium fittings should be kept 5 km from salt water. And Havit excludes corrosion caused by the surface the fitting is mounted onto, naming sandstone and bush rock — both hold moisture and mineral salts against the back plate. On those substrates, isolate the base plate or move the fitting.
Both supply voltages of the titanium Nava are held by Lights For You with a three-year replacement warranty. The eyelid version of the same body is the HV2961T-TTM.
A mid-grey aluminium finish with a metallic cast. It sits well against concrete, bluestone and grey render, and shows dust and water marking far less than black or white.
No. The Nava is surface mounted onto a base plate, so it suits solid masonry, poured concrete and finished render where a recessed fitting cannot go.
Outside the fitting — the data sheet states the connection can only be made externally. The 150 mm tail runs to a sealed junction you provide; an unsealed joint voids the warranty.
360 lm at 3000 K, 380 lm at 4000 K and 400 lm at 5500 K, from a built-in 5 W LED.
No, on either supply voltage.
A 12 V DC constant-voltage LED driver within 25 m, with supply inside ±5% of rated voltage.
Havit excludes corrosion caused by the mounting surface and names bush rock and sandstone. Isolate the base plate from the stone or choose another position.
