Flame RGBCW mini deck lights in black

This is the black-finished Flame RGBCW — a Ø28mm recessed deck light producing colour and white light, on a 316 stainless steel body finished black. RGBCW means red, green and blue for colour plus dedicated white channels at 3000K and 5500K, so the fitting delivers a real warm or cool white instead of an approximation mixed from the colour LEDs.

In black the fittings vanish into dark hardwood, charcoal composite decking and bluestone by day, which suits a colour installation particularly well: when the lights are off there is nothing to see, and when they are on the colour is the only thing visible rather than colour plus a row of bright metal discs.

What is on this page

Four part numbers are sold here and they are not interchangeable. HV2826RGBCW-BLK is the six-light kit. HV28261RGBCW-BLK is a single fitting for extending or repairing a run. HV2826-EXT-RGBCW-2M and HV2826-EXT-RGBCW-4M are extension cables at 2 and 4 metres.

The cables matter more than they look. On a run of miniature fittings the spacing is set by what the cable will reach, so measure the distances between intended positions before ordering — adding a cable afterwards usually means lifting a board that has already been screwed down.

Control

Colour, white and dimming are all handled through an RGBCW controller or the TUYA app rather than a wall switch. Settle how the run will be controlled before installation, and by whom. This is the decision that determines whether a colour deck installation is used a year later or quietly left off — an app nobody has set up, or a controller that loses its scene whenever power drops, is the usual cause.

Each fitting draws 0.5W and produces 25lm, with colour rendering above 80 CRI and a 120° beam. Rated lamp expectancy is >30,000 hrs.

Power, cutout and drainage

The fittings run on 12V DC and are Class 3, so no earth is required at the fitting. A 12V driver is required and is not supplied.

The cutout is Ø28mm, and each fitting is rated IP67 for temporary immersion. Havit's installation detail is worth following where these go into the ground rather than a deck: allow a 100mm space below the fitting, bed it over 100mm to 150mm of crushed rock, and grade the surrounding surface to fall away so water runs off rather than standing around the housing. Havit also states that aluminium and 304 stainless fittings must not be installed within 5km of any salt water environment. Installation is work for a licensed electrician.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
