HV1692W-BLK - Angela Aluminium Black LED Bollard Light

The Angela is an 800 mm surface-mounted bollard that takes a replaceable E27 globe, in poly powder coated black aluminium behind a clear glass diffuser. It runs on 240 V AC mains and arrives with a warm-white filament LED lamp fitted.

⚠ The two ratings decide where this one can go

It is IP54 and IK04, both lower than most people assume of a garden fitting. IP54 is a splash rating, not a jet rating: dust protected and protected against splashing water from any direction, but not against a hose aimed at it or ground that holds water. IK04 sits near the bottom of the IK01–IK10 impact scale. This one lives at shin height in a garden bed, so site it clear of the line a mower or a wheelbarrow takes, and off the fall of a sprinkler.

⚠ The globe: 9 W supplied against a 9 W maximum — there is no headroom

The lamp base is a replaceable E27, and it ships with 1 x 9 W filament LED E27 globe giving 700 lm at 2700K over a 180° spread. Those figures belong to that globe, not to the fitting, so a later lamp sets its own output and beam. ⚠ Read the ceiling before you buy one: Havit's maximum wattage for this fitting is 9 W, and the globe it ships with is already 9 W. The socket is at its rated limit as supplied, so a brighter globe would exceed the fitting's maximum. Havit's globe-changing step says not to exceed the maximum wattage, so replace like for like at 9 W or less. There is no colour-temperature selector: the globe decides, and as supplied that is a single warm 2700K at CRI >80.

⚠ Dimming is unconfirmed — Havit's two documents disagree

The HV1692W data sheet (AUG24) lists dimming as “yes - Triac / Phase Cut”. The shared installation instructions (SEP24) carry one Dimmable: No row covering both models, and Havit's own page does not mention it. We publish the conflict rather than choose. Plan a switched circuit unless you check with us; if it is dimmed it needs a Triac or phase-cut dimmer and a dimmable globe.

Supply, wiring and mounting

Input is 240 V AC and it is Protection Class 1, so an earth is required. Havit requires a qualified electrician working to AS/NZS 3000, and fittings are wired in parallel. No driver or transformer is involved. Two warranty conditions apply at the IP-rated junction box: if your cable is not circular you must fix the cable entry to maintain the IP rating, and all o-rings and seals must be in place. It is ground — surface mounted on concrete or a concrete pad, never under ground level.

The parts of the install that void the warranty

Havit requires that all holes including the cable entry are siliconed and that silicone is also applied around the fitting at ground level, or the warranty is void. The screws supplied are mild steel and must be replaced with a higher grade where water may reach them. Havit's wording on siting is that aluminium and 304SS fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environments; this bollard is aluminium.
