Maxi 600 Black TRI Colour LED Bollard Lights

At 600 mm this is the same optical design as the 190 mm Mini doing an entirely different job. Height is what turns a marker into a path light. Raise a 120° source from ankle height to knee height and the pool it casts roughly triples in width while the centre stays comfortable to look at, which is why a run of these reads as a lit path rather than a row of bright dots. It is the version to specify when you want to actually see the ground.

The specification is fuller than the Mini's, and two rows matter

The Maxi 600 has a current dated data sheet where the Mini has only an older pair, and it carries figures the smaller fitting simply does not publish. Two are worth knowing before you buy. Maximum globe wattage is 15 W, LED globes only — so there is headroom above the supplied lamp, but not much, and a halogen is not an option. And the protection class differs by supply: the 240 V model is Class I and requires an earth, while the 12 V DC model is Class III and does not. Lamp expectancy is rated at >30,000 hrs.

⚠ The body is 316 stainless steel, not aluminium

This is worth stating plainly because it is easy to assume otherwise from the black finish. Havit's dated data sheet, its 240 V installation instructions and its own product page for this part number all describe the body as 316 stainless steel with a poly powder-coated black finish — the same metal as the natural stainless version, with a coating over it. It matters for more than pride: the stainless maintenance clause applies, regular cleaning is required, and tea staining is excluded from the warranty.

Supply, output and the installation

• 240 V AC: 9 W E27 tri-colour globe, 700 lm / 720 lm / 740 lm at 3000K / 4000K / 5500K, earthed.
• 12 V DC: 5 W MR16 globe, 270 lm / 285 lm / 300 lm, run from a suitable 12 V DC LED driver — never wired directly to 240 V, and no more than 25 m from that driver with the supply within ±5%, which Havit makes a warranty condition. The optional HV9507 tri-colour MR16 is the 12 V DC replacement globe.
• IP54 and IK08. The base plate must be fixed to concrete or a concrete pad, above ground level, with every hole including the cable entry siliconed. Havit voids the warranty otherwise.
• Not dimmable with the globes supplied. Parallel wiring, CRI >80, a 120° supplied globe, and a 3 Years Replacement warranty.
