A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
Solid brass, two heads, and — unusually for this family — a fitting Havit rates for ceiling and eave mounting as well as walls. That last point is what makes it worth specifying over the single-head versions: the same fitting can sit under a soffit throwing two beams down a wall, or on a pillar face throwing one up and one along, without changing product.
Both heads tilt through 90° and swivel through 270° independently. From one wiring point that gives you a symmetrical wash up and down a pillar, a pair of converging beams to erase a shadow on a door, or two separate targets several metres apart. It is a genuinely different tool from two single fittings side by side, because the aiming is done once at one mounting height.
Those are per-head figures. Havit prints them with the 2 × because each lamp produces that output, and a two-head fitting quoted at its summed total would not be comparable with anything else on the page.
The body is solid brass rather than a brass-look coating, so there is nothing to chip; it weathers to a patina and is a sensible choice near salt air, provided it gets washed down. Havit rates it IK10 for impact and fits clear glass rather than a diffuser, which keeps the beams defined. The GU10 versions are Class 1 and need an earth; the MR16 version is Class 3 low voltage and does not, but it needs a 12 V DC driver sized for two lamps per fitting, within 25 m, with the supply inside 5% of nominal. Globe ceilings are 35 W per lamp on GU10 and 20 W per lamp on MR16 — two globes at that figure, not one at double it. Havit quotes CRI above 80, colour consistency within 6 SDCM, glare under UGR 45 and lamp life above 30,000 hours. IP65, and a 3-year replacement warranty on all three. Tell Lights For You the mounting height and what you are lighting and we will suggest which beam angle to order.
Yes. Havit rates this one for wall or ceiling surface mounting, which is not true of every fitting in the range.
Per head. The datasheet writes 2 × 270 lm, 2 × 285 lm and 2 × 300 lm because each of the two lamps produces that output.
HV1355T only, on a Triac dimmer. HV1357GU10T and HV1357MR16T are not dimmable with the globes supplied.
For two lamps per fitting, then multiply by the number of fittings sharing that driver. It must be 12 V DC, within 25 m, with the supply inside 5% of nominal.
35 W per lamp on the 240 V GU10 versions and 20 W per lamp on the 12 V MR16 — so two globes at that ceiling, not one of twice it.
No. It is Class 3 low voltage. The GU10 versions are Class 1 and do require an earth.
It will patina outdoors, which is normal for solid brass and is why it lasts where a coated finish would not. Wash it down on a coastal site; tea staining is excluded from the warranty.
