Antique Brass LED Adjustable

The single-head adjustable Tivah in antique brass is the fitting for a wall or pillar where you want one aimed beam and a finish that ages rather than stays factory-fresh. Antique brass develops its own patina outdoors, which is the point — it suits heritage frontages, brick and rendered pillars better than a bright metal. The head adjusts, so the same fitting can graze a wall upward or wash a path downward. At IP65 it is rated for direct rain and coastal weather. The decision that matters is which of the three part numbers you order, because they are not on the same voltage.

The choice to make

HV1295T and HV1297GU10T are 240 V GU10 fittings that wire straight to mains, no driver needed. HV1297MR16T is 12 V DC on an MR16 lamp and requires a 12 V DC LED driver; it must never be wired directly to 240 V power. Output differs with the platform: HV1295T gives 200–560 lm at 3000K, 255–595 lm at 4000K and 270–630 lm at 5500K according to whether a 3, 5 or 7 W GU10 is fitted, while HV1297GU10T and HV1297MR16T both deliver 270 lm at 3000K, 285 lm at 4000K and 300 lm at 5500K from 5 W lamps. Beam angle is 90°.

Where it works

• Brick or rendered entry pillars where a brass finish suits the frontage better than stainless.
• Heritage and period facades, aimed up to graze render or brickwork.
• Garden and boundary walls, angled down to light a path or garden bed.
• Exposed alfresco walls that see direct rain, where IP65 is the requirement.

Specifying it

For the 12 V MR16 variant, the fitting must sit within 25 m of its driver — a warranty condition, because voltage drop past that distance starves the lamp and shortens its life. The GU10 versions are 240 V and require an earth. The lamp is replaceable on all three variants, and the base must match: GU10 for the GU10 codes, MR16 for the MR16 code, with no cross-fitting. The GU10 socket accepts a maximum of 35 W. It is not dimmable with the supplied globe.
