Tivah 316 Stainless Steel TRI Colour Single

316 stainless steel is the reason to choose this Tivah over the aluminium ones, and it is the only reason — the fitting, the optics and the globes are identical across the range. What 316 buys you is a body that can be specified on a coastal elevation without voiding its own warranty, which the powder-coated versions cannot.

Marine grade, and the maintenance that comes with it

Most "stainless" outdoor fittings are 304. 316 adds molybdenum, which is what resists chloride attack, and Havit excludes aluminium and 304 stainless fittings from sites within 5 km of salt water while placing no such restriction on this one. In exchange it asks for a routine: 316 does not rust, but airborne salt leaves deposits that appear as brown speckling if the fitting is never washed. That is tea staining, it is cosmetic, it comes off with fresh water, and it is expressly excluded from the warranty. Put it on the same schedule as the windows.

Three part numbers, and the lamp is what separates them

This is the single adjustable body — one head with 90° of tilt and 270° of swivel — sold in three lamp configurations:

• HV1205T ships with Havit's 9-in-1 GU10 globe, which sets both wattage and colour on the globe itself: 3 W, 5 W or 7 W giving 240–560 lm at 3000K, 255–595 lm at 4000K and 270–630 lm at 5500K. It runs on 240 V, its beam is 60°, and it is the only one of the three that is Triac dimmable.
• HV1207GU10T is the same fitting with a fixed 5 W tri-colour GU10: 270 / 285 / 300 lm, and a wider 120° spread.
• HV1207MR16T is the 12 V DC version on an MR16 lamp, same output and beam. It requires a 12 V DC LED driver and must never be connected to 240 V.

Every one of them takes a replaceable globe — there is no sealed LED module here, so the light source is serviceable and the beam is changeable. Havit caps what you may fit at 35 W on the 240 V GU10 and 20 W on the 12 V MR16.

Narrow or wide is the decision that matters

A 60° beam cuts a defined arc down the wall and shows off texture; a 120° beam washes the whole panel and is the better answer beside a door, where you want faces lit rather than brickwork. Because the beam belongs to the globe rather than the housing, you are not locked in — changing the globe later changes the beam.

The rating is IP65, so a fully exposed wall or pillar needs no eave above it. On the 12 V version, keep the fitting within 25 m of its driver and the supply within ±5%, both of which are warranty conditions. Wiring is parallel, CRI is above 80, and the warranty is 3 years replacement.

Earthing and protection class

This listing sells more than one supply, and the earthing requirement is not the same on both. Check which part number you are wiring before you start.

• HV1205T, HV1207GU10T run on 240 V AC mains and are Protection Class 1 — an earth is required at the fitting. Havit's installation sheet has the installer connect the earth conductor first, then live and neutral.
• HV1207MR16T run on 12 V DC and are Protection Class 3 — no earth is required at the fitting. The isolation comes from the LED driver rather than from an earth conductor, and these part numbers must never be connected directly to 240 V.
