An up/down wall pillar light in high grade 304 stainless steel, taking GU10 globes. It throws a cone up the wall and a cone down it from a single body — the standard treatment for an entry pier, a gate post or a boundary wall.
Stainless rather than coated aluminium is the point of difference. On a pier that gets sprinkler overspray, or beside a pool, a powder coated finish eventually lifts at an edge and corrodes underneath. Stainless has no coating to fail.
The fitting carries two 5W GU10 globes, so it draws 10W in total. Havit rates each head at 270lm, 285lm and 300lm across the three colour settings, giving the fitting totals of 540lm, 570lm and 600lm at 3000K, 4000K and 5500K respectively.
The beam is 120° per head, a broad cone rather than a tight column — so the effect is a soft wash above and below rather than a hard architectural line. Colour rendering is 80 CRI or better, and the fitting is not dimmable.
Because the light source is a standard GU10 rather than a sealed module, it can be changed over the life of the fitting. On an exterior fitting that is a real advantage: the stainless housing is the durable, expensive part and it outlasts several generations of globe.
It also means output, colour and dimming behaviour follow whatever globe is fitted rather than being fixed when the fitting was made.
The Fortis runs on 240V AC mains and requires no driver. It is rated IP54 for dust and splashing water — a sheltered-exterior rating, so it suits a pier or a wall with some protection rather than one taking driven rain head on.
Mount it plumb. On an up/down fitting any lean shows twice, because the two cones diverge from the error rather than disguising it. Installation is work for a licensed electrician.
540lm, 570lm or 600lm depending on the colour setting — two heads at 270lm, 285lm or 300lm each.
Two GU10 globes, rated 5W each in this fitting.
High grade 304 stainless steel.
The fitting is listed as not dimmable. With GU10 globes, dimming behaviour depends on the globes fitted.
It is rated IP54, which suits a sheltered position rather than one taking driven rain directly.
