The HV10591T is the Luz up-and-down wall pillar light in solid brass — the two-lamp body, one GU10 firing up and one down. It is the same fitting as the black and white Luz in every dimension and every electrical figure, and a completely different proposition in one respect: the material.
Havit’s installation instructions for this range carry a siting clause, and its wording matters: aluminium and 304SS fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environment. That clause names aluminium and 304 stainless. It does not name solid brass, which is very often the whole reason the brass version gets specified for a coastal address. We state that scope rather than a distance for this fitting, because no Havit document publishes a salt-water distance for solid brass — and inventing one, in either direction, would be worse than saying so.
What Havit does publish about brass is different in kind. Solid brass tarnishes naturally outdoors, and that is expected behaviour rather than a fault; if you want it to stay bright it needs polishing, and if you want the aged look it will get there on its own. Havit also asks that gloves be worn during installation, so skin oils are not transferred to the metal and fixed in place as fingerprints under the first patina.
Two 9-in-1 tri-colour GU10 globes are supplied. The figures are per lamp: 240–560 lm at 3000K, 255–595 lm at 4000K, 270–630 lm at 5500K, spanning the globe’s 3 W to 7 W settings, and output rises as the colour temperature climbs — 5500K at 7 W is the brightest. Beam is 60°, from the globe rather than the housing. Colour and wattage are switched on the side of each globe and Havit presets both to 3000K at 7 W. Warm 3000K is the setting most people choose against brass, since it flatters the metal.
Fix the backing plate, then seal every hole in it including the cable entry and screw holes — Havit states that failing to do so voids the warranty, as do a missing o-ring or seal and any modification of the fitting. It is IP65 and IK10 behind clear glass, 240 V AC mains with no driver or transformer, and Class 1, so an earth is required. The GU10 holders are replaceable to 35 W each. Height is 300 mm, with a Ø60 mm aperture at each end and four Ø4 mm fixings around a Ø13 mm cable entry; Havit’s drawing does not label its width or projection figures, so we publish neither.
It is Triac dimmable using Havit’s HV9625 300 W dial dimmer. Lights For You sells the Luz in all three finishes and can tell you honestly how the brass ages in your particular location — ask before you order.
Havit’s siting clause for this range excludes aluminium and 304SS fittings within 5 km of salt water, and this fitting is solid brass, which that clause does not name. We will not put a distance figure on it either way, because no Havit document publishes one for solid brass. What Havit does say is that solid brass tarnishes naturally outdoors — expect that, particularly in a marine atmosphere.
No, and Havit says so in its own documents: solid brass fittings tarnish naturally outdoors. Many people specify brass precisely for that ageing. If you want it bright, it needs regular polishing; the tarnish is not a defect and not a warranty matter.
Yes — Havit asks that gloves be worn when installing copper or brass fittings, so skin oils are not transferred onto the metal. Beyond that it is the same as the rest of the range: seal the backing plate at every hole including the cable entry and screw holes, or the warranty is void.
Per globe. Havit prints 2 × 240–560 lm, so each of the two lamps produces the stated range and the fitting produces double across its two directions. We do not publish a summed figure.
Yes — two 9-in-1 tri-colour GU10 globes come with it, switchable between 3000K, 4000K and 5500K and between 3 W, 5 W and 7 W. The holders are standard GU10, so replacements are easy to source later, up to 35 W each.
Yes — same body, 300 mm tall with a Ø60 mm aperture at each end. Only the material and finish differ. We do not publish a width or projection for this listing because Havit’s drawing leaves those numbers unlabelled.
3 years replacement for items ordered after 01/01/22, the same as the rest of the range — quoted from Havit’s own page for this part number. Tarnishing is normal behaviour for solid brass and is not a warranty claim; failing to seal the backing plate at install is grounds for voiding it.
