A large up/down wall light in 316 stainless steel with aluminium, drawing 24W. It is the high-output end of the up/down category: where a typical entry fitting marks a pier, this one lights a facade.
316 is the stainless grade specified for the harshest exposure — salt air, pool chemistry, sustained wet. On a large fitting that will be mounted high and left alone for a decade, the material is the specification that decides how it looks in year eight.
The fitting carries two 12W elements, so it draws 24W in total. Havit rates each head at 1080lm, 1140lm and 1200lm across the three colour settings, giving totals of 2160lm, 2280lm and 2400lm at 3000K, 4000K and 5500K respectively.
That is a great deal of light for a wall fitting, and it is worth planning for. At 2400lm the two cones will be the dominant feature of a facade at night. On a domestic entry that can be too much; on a commercial frontage, a large rendered wall or a multi-storey elevation it is exactly the point.
The Maxi is tri-colour, with 3000K, 4000K or 5500K selected on the fitting at installation rather than fixed at manufacture. Colour rendering is above 80 CRI and the beam is 60° per head — narrower than most up/down fittings, which produces a defined cone rather than a broad wash.
A narrow beam at this output makes the grazing effect much stronger on a textured wall. On smooth render it produces two clean, hard-edged cones instead. The fitting is not dimmable, so the effect it gives is the effect you get.
It runs on 240V AC mains and requires no driver, and is rated IP65 for dust and jetted water so a fully exposed wall is within its rating.
Mount it plumb and mount it securely — this is a substantial fitting and its fixings should be into structure rather than into render alone. Installation is work for a licensed electrician.
2160lm, 2280lm or 2400lm depending on the colour setting — two heads at 1080lm, 1140lm or 1200lm each.
