Product Description
xThe Havard is a traditional exterior wall lantern in black, made in two sizes. Before anything else, one correction matters.
This fitting is IP44, not IP54. Earlier copy on this page said IP54 and described a "dustproof design". Both the supplier sheet and our own product record say IP44, which protects against splashing water from any direction but is not dust protected. It is fine on a normal exposed wall in the rain. It is not a fitting for a dusty rural site or anywhere it will be hosed.
Two sizes, and they are noticeably different
The small is 155 mm wide and 410 mm high; the large is 230 mm wide and 560 mm high. That is a substantial step. A pair of smalls suits a standard doorway; the large is for a wide pier or a two-storey elevation where a small lantern would be lost.
One E27 globe, none supplied
It takes a single E27 globe, not included. Our sources disagree on the maximum — we publish 25 W, the lower of the two figures, because overrunning a fitting's thermal limit is the failure that matters. If you need more light than a 25 W globe gives, use a higher-output LED lamp within that wattage rather than a bigger filament one.
Where it works
- Entries and porches, in pairs either side of a door, using the small.
- Wide piers and two-storey elevations, using the large.
- Garden walls under normal rain exposure.
- Traditional and period frontages.
Specifying it
Metal and glass in black, on a surface wall mount. IP44, 240 V, Class I — an earth is required, so a licensed electrician installs it. Dimming is globe dependent. The small weighs 1.89 kg.

Questions
Is it IP54 or IP44?
IP44. Earlier copy on this page said IP54 and described it as dustproof; that was not correct. IP44 protects against splashing water from any direction but does not protect against dust.
Can it be hosed down or used on a dusty site?
No. IP44 does not cover direct hosing or dust ingress. For those conditions choose a fitting rated IP54 or higher, such as the Kman.
What sizes are there?
Small at 155 mm wide × 410 mm high, and large at 230 mm wide × 560 mm high.
What is the maximum globe wattage?
We publish 25 W. Our sources disagree — one lists 60 W — so we quote the lower figure, because overrunning a fitting is the dangerous direction.
Is a globe included?
No. One E27 globe, supplied separately.
What is the warranty?
Our records currently disagree on this, so we would rather confirm it with the supplier than quote you a term that might be wrong. Ask us before ordering if it matters to your decision.
Does it need an electrician?
Yes. It is Class I and requires an earth.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
