Halon 24V Brass Step Light

The Halon ST1 is a 24 V exterior LED step light in solid brass or 316 stainless steel with glass — 1 W giving 65 lm at 3000 K, CRI above 90, IP67 — in antique brass, natural brass or stainless steel.

IP67 on a step light — and that is the reason to choose it

IP67 means dust-tight and rated for temporary immersion. Not splashing, not jets — submersion. On a step that matters more than it sounds: water runs down stairs and pools against the riser, and a fitting set into that riser will sit in standing water after heavy rain.

Solid brass or 316 marine stainless

Our record lists “Glass” alone. The body is solid brass or 316 stainless steel — and set into a wet riser, taking run-off and cleaning, that is the only sensible construction. 316 is the marine grade, with added molybdenum to resist salt; brass weathers rather than corrodes.

Three finishes — and one of them ages

Antique brass starts dark and stays close to it. Natural brass is unlacquered and will patina to a soft brown-gold. 316 stainless stays silver. On a run of steps that decision compounds — you are choosing whether the whole flight changes together over the years.

Two cutouts, and it must be decided before the concrete

46 mm with the canister, 35 mm without. The canister is the sleeve set into the step; whether you use it decides the hole size. The face is 53 mm by 51 mm and it weighs 0.35 kg. Confirm with your builder which arrangement they are using before the steps are poured or the treads cut — it cannot be changed afterwards.

65 lumens, and that is correct for a step

A step light should show you the edge of a tread without dazzling you on the way down. 65 lm is deliberately small, and the CRI above 90 is what makes it worth having: stone, timber and concrete keep their real colour rather than going grey, so you see the step as it actually is.

53 mm by 51 mm face, cutout 46 mm with the canister or 35 mm without, 0.35 kg, tail 1,000 mm, in solid brass or 316 stainless steel with glass. Integrated 1 W LED giving 65 lm at 3000 K, included, CRI >90, not dimmable. 24 V — a transformer is required and none is supplied; we stock 60 W and 200 W. Class III — low voltage, IP67 — dust-tight and rated for temporary immersion. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
