Halon 24V Brass Exterior LED Inground Light

The Halon G1 is a 24 V exterior LED inground light in solid brass or 316 stainless steel with glass — 1 W giving 110 lm at 3000 K, CRI above 90, 45° beam, IP67.

IP67 — the highest rating in this catalogue

IP67 means dust-tight and rated for temporary immersion. Not splashing, not jets — submersion. That is the correct and necessary rating for a fitting set flush into the ground, where water will pool over it after rain and where a drainage failure means it sits underwater. Every other exterior fitting in this range is IP44, IP54 or IP65; this is the only one rated to be swamped.

Solid brass or 316 marine stainless

Our record listed “Glass” alone. The body is solid brass or 316 stainless steel, and buried in soil or concrete those are the only materials that make sense: 316 is the marine grade, with added molybdenum to resist salt, and brass weathers rather than corrodes. An aluminium inground light in wet ground has a short life.

Two cutouts, depending on the canister

Worth reading before you order: 40 mm with the canister, 35 mm without. The canister is the sleeve that goes into concrete or decking; whether you use it decides the hole size. The fitting face is 45 mm across by 42 mm deep and weighs only 0.2 kg. Confirm with your builder which arrangement they are using before the slab is poured — it is not something you can change afterwards.

110 lumens from one watt, at CRI above 90

110 lm/W is genuinely efficient, and CRI above 90 on a 1 W fitting is unusual. The 45° beam is moderate — wide enough to graze a wall or wash a step, narrow enough not to spill everywhere. At 110 lm this is a marker and a grazing light, not illumination: a run of them along a path or up a wall is the intended use, not one on its own.
