The Domus GT-558 Siena is a 300 mm sphere on a post — 1,570 mm recorded height, 380 mm deep, IP43, taking one E27 lamp, in aluminium. Five powder-coated colours.

⛔ The naming collision holds in both sphere sizes

• This 300 mm “Tall” post records 1,570 mm. ⛔ So does the GT-556 “Medium” post, with the same sphere, the same 300 mm width and the same 380 mm depth.
• ⛔ The same thing happens on the 250 mm pair (GT-555 and GT-557).
• ⭐ Which is what makes this systematic rather than one bad record. A single wrong figure would appear once; this appears in both sphere sizes, and again on the twin-head posts where short and medium both record 1,330 mm.
• ✅ The heights themselves are orderly. Measured across all 14 posts, tall is one value within each head count — 1,570 mm single, 2,350 mm twin, 2,100 mm triple. ⭐ It is the size words that are unreliable, not the ladder.
• ⭐ Buy on the recorded height, and ask us to measure if it matters against a fence or a gate.

⭐ Of the four single-head posts at this height, this is the one for eye level

• ⚠ At 1,570 mm the sphere sits at about eye level, and a sphere is visible from every angle — so glare is the real design question.
• ⭐ The 300 mm sphere spreads the same E27 lamp over the most surface of any in the range, so it glows evenly where a 250 mm can show a bright spot.
• ⚠ It reads as less bright for the same lamp. The output is unchanged; the apparent brightness is lower. ⭐ On a post at eye level that is an advantage, not a compromise.
• ⭐ And on a wide frontage the larger sphere holds the scale where a 250 mm looks under-sized.

• One E27 lamp, not included, no maximum recorded in any source. ✅ 8–10 W LED, warm, enclosed and damp rated. ⚠ Ask us above about 15 W.
• ⛔ No footing depth, base plate, fixing pattern or wind rating on any Siena post. ⚠ A 300 mm sphere at 1,570 mm is the largest sail area on the longest single-head lever in the range — ⭐ the combination most worth settling with us before the concreter is on site.
