The Domus GT-536 Siena is a 250 mm sphere pendant — 600 mm recorded drop, 330 mm deep, IP43, taking one E27 lamp. Five powder-coated colours.

⛔ It records a different material from its two siblings

• ⛔ Three pendants in one series, one recording a different material.
• ⚠ On a sphere the material is not a detail. It decides whether the sphere is a diffuser that glows evenly, or a housing with an opening. A glass sphere and an aluminium one look and behave completely differently.
• ⚠ Our reading is that the aluminium refers to the fitting body and the sphere is a diffuser in all three — but we are not going to assert it.
• ⭐ Ask us before ordering if the sphere material matters, and particularly if you are mixing sizes: a glass sphere beside two aluminium ones would be obvious.

⭐ All three pendants have the same drop — so the sphere is the only choice

• 600 mm on the 200 mm, the 250 mm and the 300 mm sphere pendants.
• ⭐ Which is genuinely useful and stated on no listing: you can mix sphere sizes in one space and they will all hang at the same height.
• ⭐ A row of different-sized spheres at a single level is a deliberate and attractive arrangement — and it only works because the drop is constant.
• ⚠ On a standard 2.4 m covered ceiling a 600 mm drop leaves the sphere at about 1.8 m — clear of most people but low enough to be noticed. ⚠ Whether the drop can be shortened is not recorded; ask us before a low ceiling.

⭐ What a sphere pendant does

• ⭐ Omnidirectional — light goes up onto the ceiling as well as down, so a covered entry or a verandah reads as lit rather than spotlit.
• ⚠ The lamp is visible from every angle, so use a warm 8–10 W E27 LED, not a bright cool one. At 1.8 m a bright sphere is directly in the eye line.
• ⭐ It suits a porch better than a path: the upward component makes the ceiling part of the lit surface, which is what makes a covered entry feel generous.
• ⚠ IP43 and it needs the cover it hangs under — not an unroofed position, and a pendant will swing in an exposed one.

One E27 lamp, not included, no maximum in any source. ✅ 8–10 W LED, warm, enclosed and damp rated. ⚠ Ask us above about 15 W, and check the lamp fits the sphere's opening — a compact globe rather than a long candle.

• Carports, if sheltered from wind.
• Mixed with the 200 mm and 300 mm pendants at a single level — ⭐ the constant drop makes that possible.
• ⚠ Not in an exposed or unroofed position — IP43, and it will swing.
• ⚠ Not on a low ceiling until the drop adjustment is confirmed.
