Grado Pendant Light

The Grado is a 180 mm slimline pendant in black, coffee or white sand — integrated 6 W LED giving 360 lm at 3000 K, on a yoyo suspension adjustable from 700 mm to 1,700 mm.

360 lumens — an accent, and it hangs in numbers

6 W at 60 lm/W. A single Grado will light a bedside, a corner or a section of bench; it will not light a room. It is built for runs of three or five over an island, and the adjustable drop is especially good there — you can set them all to exactly the same height, or deliberately stagger them, and change your mind afterwards.

Slimline — 180 mm wide, 374 mm tall

Twice as tall as it is wide, on a 75 mm canopy at 1.2 kg. That small canopy is part of the point: the ceiling end nearly disappears, so what you see is the vertical form and the drop. At 1.2 kg it goes onto any standard fixing, and a run of five is only 6 kg across a ceiling.

Three sand finishes, and the coffee is the interesting one

Black sand, white sand and coffee sand. Coffee is a warm mid-brown and is unusual in this catalogue — it sits with timber, leather and brass in a way black does not, and it reads much softer than black against a pale ceiling. All three are sand-textured rather than gloss, so they do not catch reflections from the rest of the room.

Where it works

• Over islands and benches, in runs of three or five — set them all to a matching drop.
• Bedsides and corners, singly.
• Rooms where the ceiling height is unusual, or may change use.
• ⚠ Not a room light — 360 lm.
• ⚠ Not dimmable, and the colour is fixed.
