The Gorem EX is a 150 mm exterior wall light with an opal sphere in black sand — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied — IP54.
IP54 — splash-rated, so a sheltered position. IP54 is protection against splashing water, not jets or driving rain. In practice: under an eave, a porch, a verandah or a protected facade — yes; a fully exposed wall taking wind-driven rain — no.
If your position is exposed or coastal, ask us about the Walsh (IP65, solid brass or 316 stainless) or the Terin (IP65, low voltage). Tell us the position and we will match the rating.
Opal glass diffuses completely. The globe inside is invisible, and the sphere glows as a single even surface with no glare from any angle.
That is worth contrasting with the Provo exterior light in this catalogue, which uses clear glass: there, the globe is the whole look, and you must buy a decorative filament for the fitting to make sense. Here you must not bother — nothing shows through opal, so:
Ask us and we will match one.
Nearly every outdoor light in this range has a sealed integrated LED: when the diode fails, the fitting is finished. The Gorem takes a standard E27, so you choose the output and colour and you can replace it in ten years — on a fitting that will sit beside a door for a decade, that is a real advantage.
It also dims, with the right globe. Our record carried no dimming information at all and the old specification table had no dimming row; the datasheet says globe dependent. On an opal sphere dimming is genuinely nice — low, it becomes a soft marker rather than a light.
⚠ One correction to our own data: our record flags the Gorem as a colour-changing fitting. It cannot be. It holds a screw-in globe and contains no integrated LED, no driver and no control of any kind. Whatever colour you screw into it is the colour it stays.
A compact sphere-and-arm at 0.7 kg, which fixes to render, brick or fibre cement without special provision. The 130 mm projection gives it presence on a wall — more than the Terin's 30 mm, less than the Cosca's 170.
⚠ The backplate is 90 mm on a 150 mm fitting. On a replacement, that small plate may not cover the marks left by whatever came off the wall. Measure first.
Gorem is made as a wall light and a bollard in the same language — the same opal sphere, the same sand finish. That is genuinely useful and rare: most exterior schemes end up mismatched because few ranges make both, so the wall light at the door and the bollards down the path come from different families. With a Gorem they read as one decision.
The sand finish is right outdoors — gloss shows salt, dust and water marks, and a textured coat does not. Class I — earth required, hard-wired, so a licensed electrician installs it.
150 mm wide by 205 mm high, projection 130 mm, backplate 90 mm, 0.7 kg, in aluminium and polycarbonate, black sand with an opal sphere. One E27 globe to 25 W, NOT supplied, replaceable; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP54 — splash-rated; sheltered positions. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
No. IP54 is protection against splashing water, not jets or driving rain — so under an eave, porch, verandah or protected facade, yes; a fully exposed wall, no. For exposed or coastal positions ask us about the Walsh (IP65, solid brass or 316 stainless) or the Terin (IP65, low voltage).
Nothing decorative — opal glass diffuses completely, so the globe is invisible and brightness and warmth are the only decisions. Choose warm 2700 K, because a warm globe makes an opal sphere read as inviting while a cool one makes it look like a security light. And use an LED rated for enclosed fittings: the sphere is sealed, and heat with nowhere to go kills LED globes.
No — one E27 to 25 W, your choice and replaceable. That is an advantage: nearly every other outdoor light in this range has a sealed integrated LED, and when the diode fails the fitting is finished.
No, and our record is wrong to flag it as colour changing. It holds a screw-in globe and contains no integrated LED, no driver and no control of any kind — whatever colour you screw into it is the colour it stays.
With a dimmable globe, yes. Our record carried no dimming information at all and the old table had no dimming row; the datasheet has it as globe dependent. On an opal sphere it is genuinely nice — low, it becomes a soft marker rather than a light.
Yes, in the same opal sphere and sand finish. That is rare and useful: most exterior schemes end up mismatched because few ranges make both, so the wall light at the door and the bollards down the path come from different families.
Possibly not — the backplate is 90 mm on a 150 mm fitting. Measure what is on the wall first.
