The Gorem EX.P is a 900 mm exterior bollard with an opal sphere in black sand — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied — IP65.
⚠ The bollard is IP65. The matching wall light is IP54. That is not a mistake, and it matters.
| Gorem | Rating | Where it can go |
|---|---|---|
| Bollard (this) | IP65 | Fully exposed — open garden beds, driveways, coastal |
| Wall light | IP54 | Sheltered only — under an eave or porch |
IP65 is protection against water jets from any direction — which is exactly what a bollard needs, because a bollard stands in the open: it takes rain from every angle, sprinklers, and a hose. The wall light, sitting under an eave, does not.
So the two are not interchangeable in position. If you are buying both for one scheme — bollards down the path, the wall light at the door — the wall light must go somewhere sheltered. Nobody said so anywhere.
At 900 mm the Gorem is a full-height path bollard. That puts the opal sphere at roughly waist height, which has two consequences:
At 2.7 kg on a 140 mm base, it is substantially built for its size — and on a bollard that matters, because anything at waist height in a garden gets knocked, brushed past and mowed around.
Opal glass diffuses completely. The globe inside is invisible and the sphere glows as a single even surface with no glare from any angle — which on a bollard at waist height, seen from a window or across a garden, is the whole point. A clear or lightly frosted bollard puts a bright point at eye level when you look out at night.
So the globe choice is simple, and no source gave any guidance: one E27 to 25 W, not supplied.
Ask us and we will match a set.
Nearly every outdoor light in this range has a sealed integrated LED: when the diode fails, the fitting comes out of the ground. The Gorem takes a standard E27, so you choose the output and colour and you can replace it in ten years — on something set into a garden bed, that is a very real advantage.
⚠ And it dims, with the right globe. The datasheet for this bollard says “No” — but the datasheet for the identical-format wall light says globe dependent, and that is the correct answer for both. There is nothing in a fitting that simply holds an E27 to prevent dimming. Our record and the page carried no dimming information at all.
On a run of path bollards, dimming is worth having: low, they mark the route without lighting the garden.
⚠ One correction to our own data: our record flags the Gorem bollard as a colour-changing fitting. It cannot be. It holds a screw-in globe and contains no integrated LED, no driver and no control of any kind. Whatever colour you screw into it is the colour it stays.
The sand finish is right outdoors — gloss shows salt, dust and water marks, and a textured coat does not. Class I — earth required, hard-wired, in aluminium and polycarbonate.
900 mm high by 150 mm wide, base 140 mm, 2.7 kg, in aluminium and polycarbonate, black sand with an opal sphere. One E27 globe to 25 W, NOT supplied, replaceable; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP65 — fully exposed positions, including open garden beds. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Yes — it is IP65, protected against water jets from any direction, which is exactly what a bollard needs: standing in the open it takes rain from every angle, sprinklers and a hose.
No, and this matters. The bollard is IP65 and the Gorem wall light is IP54 — sheltered positions only, under an eave or porch. If you are buying both for one scheme, the wall light must go somewhere protected. No source stated it.
Nothing decorative — the opal sphere hides it entirely, so brightness and warmth are the only decisions. Warm 2700 K, because a warm sphere reads as inviting while a cool one makes a garden look like a car park. And rated for enclosed fittings: the sphere is sealed, and heat with nowhere to go kills LED globes.
No, and our record is wrong to flag it as colour changing. It holds a screw-in globe and contains no integrated LED, no driver and no control of any kind — whatever colour you screw into it is the colour it stays.
Yes, with a dimmable globe. Its own datasheet says “No”, but the datasheet for the identical-format wall light says globe dependent, and that is the correct answer for both — there is nothing in a fitting that simply holds an E27 to prevent it. On a run of path bollards, dimming lets them mark the route without lighting the garden.
It puts the sphere at roughly waist height, which lights the path surface from above rather than grazing it — so you see where you are walking, not just a row of glowing markers — and it is visible from a distance, which is what makes a run read as a route.
It is substantially built for its size — 2.7 kg on a 140 mm base — which matters, because anything at waist height in a garden gets knocked, brushed past and mowed around.
