GORDON EXTERIOR WALL LIGHT

The Gordon is an exterior wall light with a bell-shaped shade on a projecting arm — 303 mm wide but reaching 390 mm out from the wall — in black or white.

It projects further than it is wide

This is the number to check before you order. 390 mm of projection against 303 mm of width means the Gordon stands well clear of the wall. That is what lets the bell throw light down and outward across a path rather than straight down the brickwork — and it is also why it does not belong on a narrow walkway where a shoulder or a car door will find it.

Art Deco, with country manners

The bell profile is a deco form, but in sand-finished aluminium rather than chrome or glass it reads softer — closer to a verandah light than a hotel lobby. That combination is unusual, and it is why the Gordon suits a weatherboard cottage and a rendered modern entry equally.

Aluminium, and light with it

0.95 kg. Aluminium does not rust, which matters far more outdoors than any finish — steel lanterns bleed at the fixings long before the paint fails — and at under a kilogram it hangs off an ordinary wall box without ceremony.

One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied

An ordinary replaceable globe, warm for an entry. Dimming is whatever the globe will do.

303 mm wide, 250 mm high, 390 mm projection, canopy ø125 mm × 32 mm, 0.95 kg, in aluminium with a sand finish. One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP43 — sheltered outdoor use, one step below IP44. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
