Gilson 40 LED Vanity Light

The Gilson 40 is the 415 mm vanity light — 8 W for 819 lm, with three switchable colour temperatures and an IP44 rating, in antique gold, black or chrome.

The size for a single mirror

Gilson is made in three lengths. At 415 mm this one suits a standard single vanity or a powder-room mirror, where the 815 mm version would overhang. Match the light to the mirror, not the wall.

Three colour temperatures, decided on site

3000 K, 4000 K or 5000 K, set on the fitting at installation. In a bathroom that choice is the difference between flattering, honest and clinical — and being able to try it lit beats guessing from a catalogue.

CRI above 83, which is the point of a vanity light

Colour accuracy is the job. >83 means skin reads truthfully rather than sallow — makeup that looks right in the bathroom still looks right in daylight.

IP44 is why it belongs there

Rated against splashing from any direction. Your electrician will confirm the zone above the basin, but an IP20 wall light has no business near water and this does.

Or use two vertically

A pair mounted either side of the mirror lights a face more evenly than a single fitting above it — no shadow under the brow or chin. At 415 mm the Gilson 40 is the right proportion for that.

415 mm long, 80 mm wide, 60 mm high, in aluminium and polycarbonate. Integrated 8 W LED giving 819 lm, CRI >83, switchable 3000/4000/5000 K. Not dimmable. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP44 — splash rated. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
