The Fonseca WB is a 200 mm art deco exterior wall light in antique gold or black with mahogany — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied, IP44, projecting 160 mm.
⚠ We know exactly what the box weighs and not what the light weighs. The datasheet for this product records eight packaging figures — box length, width, height and weight, and the same four for the master carton — and no fixture weight at all.
So: the box is 1.1 kg, and the fitting inside it is somewhat less. On a small aluminium wall light that is very likely under a kilogram, which would fix to render or fibre cement without special provision — but we are not going to publish a weight we do not have. Ask us if the fixing is in question.
The description says “a fusion of modern and art deco” three times and never says what that looks like, so:
Art deco in a wall light means geometry rather than ornament — stepped or fluted forms, strong verticals, and a symmetrical, architectural outline. It is the opposite of a coach lantern, which is the other traditional option here: where a Ramiro or Pedral is curved, glazed and Victorian, the Fonseca is flat-faced, angular and 1930s.
That makes it the right choice for a specific kind of house — interwar, deco, Spanish mission, or a modern facade wanting a period reference — and the wrong one for a cottage or a heritage Victorian, where a coach lantern belongs.
Two finishes, and one of them is unusual.
200 mm tall by 120 mm wide, projecting 160 mm. That is a compact fitting that nonetheless stands well off the wall — the projection is more than the width, which is what gives a small deco fitting its presence and its shadow line.
It suits either side of a front door, a garage facade, or a run along a rendered wall. ⚠ At 160 mm out, check it clears a door swing in a tight entry.
One E27 to 25 W, not supplied, and replaceable, which most exterior fittings in this range are not: nearly all have a sealed integrated LED that ends the fitting when it fails.
And dimming is absent from every source we have — the datasheet has no dimming field at all. On a fitting that simply holds an E27 it will be globe dependent, as every other E27 fitting in this range is, but we have not asserted it. Ask us if a dimmer is planned.
IP44 — splashing water from any direction, so under a porch, a verandah or a deep eave — yes; a fully exposed wall taking driving rain — no. For exposed or coastal positions, ask us about the Walsh at IP65 in solid brass or 316 stainless.
Class I — earth required, hard-wired, in aluminium and glass — the glass was missing from our record.
200 mm high by 120 mm wide, projection 160 mm, in aluminium and glass, antique gold or black with a mahogany-toned finish. Fixture weight is not recorded — only the packaging is. Ask us. One E27 globe to 25 W, NOT supplied, replaceable; dimming is not recorded in any source — ask us. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP44 — covered outdoor positions. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
We do not know, and that is worth being straight about: the datasheet records eight packaging figures — box and master carton dimensions and weights — and no fixture weight at all. The box is 1.1 kg and the fitting inside it is somewhat less. On a small aluminium wall light that is very likely under a kilogram, but we will not publish a weight we do not have. Ask us if the fixing is in question.

Right for an interwar, deco or Spanish mission facade; wrong for a cottage or heritage Victorian.
No — the recorded materials are aluminium and glass, so it is a timber-toned finish. Outdoors that is an advantage: real timber in weather needs maintaining and this does not. It reads warmer and softer than plain black, and it is a genuinely uncommon combination outdoors.
No source says whether the glass is clear, frosted or opal — and that decides whether you want a decorative filament or a plain globe. Ask us and we will tell you before you buy one.
A warm 2700 K E27 rated for enclosed fittings. Against antique gold, cool white reads green and kills the period feel entirely — and heat with nowhere to go is what kills LED globes in a sealed body.
Dimming is absent from every source we have — the datasheet has no dimming field at all. On a fitting that simply holds an E27 it will be globe dependent, as every other E27 fitting in this range is, but we have not asserted it. Ask us if a dimmer is planned.
No — IP44 is splashing water, not driving rain, so under a porch, verandah or deep eave only. For exposed or coastal positions ask us about the Walsh at IP65 in solid brass or 316 stainless.
