The Foley 40 is the smallest of the three Foley vanity bars — 400 mm wide and only 17 mm high, with the LED built in. That 17 mm is the striking figure: it reads as a line drawn above the mirror rather than a fitting mounted on the wall.

Match the length to the mirror

At 400 mm this suits a mirror of roughly 500 mm — a powder room, a narrow ensuite, or a shaving mirror. The Foley 60 (600 mm, 641 lm) and Foley 80 (800 mm, 1,155 lm) cover wider vanities. This one gives 452 lm, so on a large mirror it will look under-scaled and under-lit.

IP44 and 3 CCT

Rated IP44 for splashing, which is the requirement above a basin — your electrician confirms the wiring zone. Colour temperature is chosen at installation across 3000 K, 4000 K or 5000 K; 4000 K is usually right over a mirror.

  • Powder rooms and small ensuites with narrow mirrors.
  • Above a shaving or make-up mirror.
  • Laundries needing a small splash-rated fitting.
  • Anywhere the 600 mm or 800 mm Foley would overhang.
Specifying it

400 mm wide, 17 mm high, projecting 100 mm. Built-in 8 W LED giving 452 lm. Not dimmable. 240 V, IP44. Antique gold, black or chrome. Warranty is three years.

Supplied and supported by Lights For You. Because it is non-dimmable, give it its own switch rather than sharing a dimmed circuit.

Questions
What size mirror does it suit?

Roughly 500 mm. For wider vanities choose the Foley 60 (600 mm) or Foley 80 (800 mm).

How bright is it?

452 lm from an 8 W built-in LED. On a large mirror that will read as under-lit.

Can it go in a bathroom?

Yes. It is IP44 — protected against splashing. Your electrician confirms the wiring zone.

Do I need a globe?

No. The LED is built in and supplied.

Which colour temperature should I choose?

4000 K is usually right over a mirror. It is set at installation.

Is it dimmable?

No.

What is the warranty?

Three years, as a replacement warranty.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

Your Options

  • Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
  • Credit: will be issued in the form of store credit and will be equal to the price paid.
