Focus adjustable LED spot light with sensor

The Focus is Havit Lighting's adjustable exterior spot, sold here in the sensor version and available in black or white. The head tilts through 90° and swivels through 270°, so the fitting is aimed after it is mounted rather than being committed at the point the cable comes out of the wall. That matters more than it sounds: a spot that lights a tree correctly in winter is often pointing at the wrong thing by the time the tree has grown, and a fitting that can be re-aimed is a fitting that stays useful.

The body is polycarbonate rated IP65 against dust and jetted water, with an IK06 impact rating. It is a Class 2 fitting, so no earth connection is required at the fitting itself.

Light output and colour temperature

The Focus draws 15W and carries a tri-colour LED. Colour temperature is selected on the fitting rather than fixed at manufacture — 3000K, 4000K or 5500K — and output follows the selection at 1200lm, 1275lm and 1350lm. The beam is a wide 120°, which makes this a wash light for a wall, a hedge or a garden bed rather than a narrow accent on a single object. Colour rendering is rated above 80 CRI. Rated lamp expectancy is >30,000 hrs, and there is no globe to replace — the LED is built in.

How the dimming actually works

This fitting is dimmable, but not in the way most exterior fittings are, and it is worth being clear before an electrician quotes the job. Dimming is done through preset settings using the remote that is supplied with the fitting. Havit's own documentation describes it as dimming by remote only, so it should not be specified on a Triac wall dimmer or a smart dimmer module and expected to respond. If your plan involves dimming the circuit from a wall plate, this is the wrong fitting for that circuit.

The listing is the sensor version, so the fitting also switches on detection rather than only on the circuit.

Power and installation

The Focus runs on 240V AC mains and requires no driver, which keeps the installation to a standard mains connection for a licensed electrician. As a Class 2 fitting it needs no earth at the fitting.

Because the head is adjustable, mounting position and aim are separate decisions — fix it where the cable and the surface suit, then aim it once the planting is in. The two part numbers on this page differ only in finish: HV3792T-BLK in black and HV3792T-WHT in white. Lights For You stocks both finishes, and in our experience the choice is made by the wall behind the fitting rather than by the light in front of it.

Frequently asked questions
Can I dim it from a wall dimmer?

No. Dimming is by preset settings using the supplied remote. Havit describes it as remote-only, so it should not be put on a Triac or smart wall dimmer and expected to work.

Is the remote included?

Yes. Havit's documentation for this fitting states the remote is supplied with it.

Does it need an earth?

No. The Focus is a Class 2 fitting, so no earth is required at the fitting. It still must be connected by a licensed electrician.

How far does the head move?

90° of tilt and 270° of swivel, so it can be aimed after mounting and re-aimed later.

Is there a globe to buy?

No. The 15W LED is built into the fitting, so there is no lamp base and no replaceable globe.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
