Product Description
xThe Fila BF is a ø120 mm batten fix in frost and clear glass with a nickel finish, standing 225 mm tall.
The old page for this product described a shoe. It talked about leather and mesh uppers, a rubber sole, an Ortholite insole and reducing foot fatigue — text generated from the word “Fila”. None of it had anything to do with this light fitting. Everything below comes from the datasheet and the product record.
We are not publishing a globe base. The datasheet says B22 bayonet; the product record says E27 screw. They do not interchange. Ask us before buying globes — a two-minute check that saves a wasted trip.
Frost over clear, which is why it works
The glass is frost and clear together rather than one or the other. The frosted section diffuses the globe so you get no hard bright point, while the clear section lets light through undimmed — so the fitting is comfortable to stand under and still throws usable light onto the floor. A fully opal shade would soften everything and lose output; a fully clear one would glare.
Batten fix means no new wiring
It mounts onto the existing batten holder point where a bare globe currently hangs — no new cabling and no rewiring. That makes it the practical way to put a proper fitting into a bedroom, hallway or rental that has only ever had a bare globe. Installation is still by a licensed electrician, as with any fitting change in Australia.
Compact, at 120 mm across
ø120 mm and 225 mm deep. Small — this is a hallway, robe, laundry or small bedroom fitting, not a room-filler. If you want something that holds a ceiling, the larger batten fixes in this range are 250–400 mm.
Up to 25 W
One globe, 25 W maximum, not supplied. With a modern LED globe that is comfortably bright for the spaces it suits. Dimming is globe dependent — fit a dimmable globe and it dims.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
