The Felton WB2 is a 120 mm two-light wall fitting with a choice of six interchangeable glasses — two G9 globes to 6 W each, not supplied.

The shades are interchangeable — which matters most on a wall light

You can change the glass later without replacing the fitting. On a pendant that is a nice option; on a pair of wall lights flanking a bed or a fireplace it is genuinely useful, because wall lights are the fittings most often kept through a redecoration. The metal stays, the glass changes.

What each glass does at close range

A wall light sits near you, so glass behaviour matters more than it does at ceiling height:

• Opal Matt — the only one with no glare at all. The choice beside a bed, or anywhere at eye level.
• Amber Tear — warms the light itself; the softest register of the six, and very good beside a bed if you accept a visible source.
• Smoke and Smoke Tear — tinted, cut the output, and keep the fitting dark when off.
• Frost Tear — soft, the globe a warm centre.
• Clear Prism — maximum sparkle and a fully visible globe. Striking on a feature wall; uncomfortable at eye level.

120 by 270 mm

120 mm wide and 270 mm tall — a compact vertical, small enough to pair either side of a bed, a mirror or a fireplace without crowding. Two G9 globes to 6 W each — 12 W total, so it is an accent and a wash rather than a room light.

Part of a whole range, in the same glass

Felton runs as wall lights, nine- and twelve-light pendants and table lamps, all taking the same six glasses — and the Tyson pendant bars use them too. So a wall light, a pendant and a bar can all be specified in one glass across three rooms, which is unusually joined-up for a decorative range.

120 mm wide by 270 mm high, in glass and iron, antique gold. Weight is not recorded — ask us. Two G9 globes to 6 W each — 12 W total, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent. Six interchangeable glasses. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
