The Fadro EX18 is a 180 mm exterior wall light in black or white — 5 W giving 620 lm, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K, IP65.

620 lumens from 5 watts — and the same caveat as its sibling

124 lm/W is near the ceiling for a complete LED fitting, and it is not an error: the 100 mm Fadro gives 365 lm from 3 W at an identical 122 lm/W.

No CRI figure is recorded for either size. Efficiency that high is normally bought by giving up colour rendering, and that is the likely explanation. If colour accuracy matters — a rendered or timber facade you chose the colour of — the Lorsa and Eyvor fittings record CRI above 90 and are the better choice. Ask us if you need the Fadro’s figure.

620 lumens is a real entry light

Nearly double the 100 mm version, from a body still only 180 mm long and 110 mm high. At that output it will light a doorway and the ground in front of it, not just mark the wall — which is the practical reason to choose the larger size. It projects 67 mm on a 146 mm backplate and weighs 0.4 kg.

Polycarbonate — the coastal argument

Polycarbonate throughout in a sand finish, so there is no metal to corrode. In salt air it outlasts an aluminium fitting that will pit and chalk, and polycarbonate does not yellow or crack the way cheaper acrylic does.

IP65 and Class II. Dust-tight and rated against water jets — an unsheltered wall in driven rain is fine, and it can be hosed down. Double insulated, no earth required, which simplifies the install. Not dimmable; the switch changes colour, not level.

Three colour temperatures

3000 K warm, 4000 K natural, 5000 K cool, switchable at the fitting. Choose against the actual wall: warm for brick, timber and render, cool for grey, concrete and dark cladding.

The larger of two

The Fadro also comes at 100 mm, at 3 W and 365 lm. Same depth, same colours, same efficiency — so the two mix on one facade: the 180 at doors and the 100 down a path.

What is the CRI?

Not recorded for either size, and efficiency that high is normally bought by giving up colour rendering. If colour accuracy matters — a rendered or timber facade you chose the colour of — the Lorsa and Eyvor fittings record CRI above 90 and are the better choice.

Which Fadro size should I choose?

The 180 mm gives nearly double the light and will illuminate a doorway and the ground in front of it, not just mark the wall. The 100 mm is for steps, gateposts and path runs. They mix on one facade.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
