A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Eslen SP3 is a 377 mm 24 V exterior LED spike spot light in 316 stainless steel or solid brass with glass — 3 W giving 140 lm at 3000 K, CRI above 90, 38° beam, IP65 — with an adjustable head.
It runs on 24 volts, so it needs a transformer — and we stock them. This is not a fitting you connect to a 240 V circuit. A 240 V-to-24 V supply is required and no Telbix fitting in this range records one as supplied. We sell an outdoor 24 V transformer in 60 W and 200 W, both IP68. One transformer runs several fittings, so tell us how many you are installing and we will size it.
Two finishes, not three. The old page said “three versatile colour options”. The spike is stocked in 316 stainless steel and natural brass; the antique brass exists on the POST version, not this one. The old specification table also said “Material: Solid Brass, Finish: Antique” on a listing with no antique variant at all.
The Eslen comes two ways. The post stands on a stem; this one is the spike, which pushes straight into a garden bed. At 377 mm overall and only 0.45 kg, it sits low among planting rather than above it — which is what you want when the light is aimed up at something rather than down at a path.
Our record lists “Glass” alone. The body is solid brass or 316 stainless steel — and in a garden bed that matters more than anywhere, because the fitting sits in wet soil, in fertiliser and in sprinkler spray. 316 is the marine grade, with added molybdenum to resist salt; brass weathers rather than corrodes. A painted aluminium spike in the same position fails in a couple of seasons.
The head aims, and at 38° the beam is tight enough to pick out one thing — a tree trunk, a wall panel, a specimen plant — rather than washing everything near it. That combination is what makes a spike a landscape light rather than a path marker.
A deliberately modest output for accenting. The CRI above 90 is what makes it worth doing: foliage reads as living green rather than grey, and bark and stone keep their colour. On a garden light that is the specification that shows.
IP65 and Class III. Dust-tight and rated against water jets, so rain and sprinklers are fine. 24 V is inherently safer than 240 V in wet ground, and it lets several fittings run from one supply on light cable — which is the reason landscape lighting is usually low voltage. Tail is 1,000 mm.
377 mm high by 160 mm, 0.45 kg, tail 1,000 mm, in solid brass or 316 stainless steel with glass. Integrated 3 W COB LED giving 140 lm at 3000 K, included, CRI >90, 38° beam, adjustable head, not dimmable. 24 V — a transformer is required and none is supplied; we stock 60 W and 200 W. Class III — low voltage, IP65 — dust-tight, rated against water jets. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
No — 24 volts, so a 240 V-to-24 V transformer is required and no Telbix fitting in this range includes one. We stock outdoor 24 V transformers in 60 W and 200 W, both IP68. One runs several fittings, so tell us how many you are installing and we will size it.
Two on the spike — 316 stainless steel and natural brass. The old page said three; the antique brass exists on the post version, not this one.

That is what the materials are for. It sits in wet soil, fertiliser and sprinkler spray — 316 is the marine grade of stainless and brass weathers rather than corrodes. A painted aluminium spike in the same position fails in a couple of seasons.
Yes — the head adjusts, and the 38-degree beam is tight enough to pick out one thing: a tree trunk, a wall panel, a specimen plant. That is what makes it a landscape light rather than a path marker.
For accenting, yes — that is what it is for. The CRI above 90 is what makes it worth doing: foliage reads as living green rather than grey.
Yes, and that is the point of low voltage — several fittings on light cable from one transformer. Tell us the count and we will size it.
