The Engar EX is a 210 mm cast gypsum exterior wall light with a glass diffuser — a 6 W GU10 LED giving 560 lm, included, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K and CRI above 90, IP65 — in terracotta, black or grey.
Our record listed “Glass” alone. The body is cast gypsum — plaster, not metal — and it is the whole identity of the fitting. Gypsum has a soft, chalky, sculptural surface that absorbs light rather than reflecting it, so the Engar reads as part of the wall instead of a fixture bolted to it. On rendered or lime-washed exteriors that is a genuinely different result from an aluminium bulkhead.
It is rated IP65 — dust-tight and rated against water jets. That is the highest rating in this range, and it means the Engar can go on an unsheltered wall in driven rain. Worth stating plainly because gypsum sounds fragile outdoors and the rating says otherwise. It is also Class II — double insulated, no earth required, which simplifies the install.
Most outdoor LEDs sit at 80. Above 90 means render, brick, timber and stone hold their real colour under it — and since the Engar washes the wall immediately around itself, that is precisely where low CRI makes a facade look grey and cheap at night.
A 6 W GU10 giving 560 lm, supplied with the fitting, switching between 3000 K warm, 4000 K natural and 5000 K cool. Because it is a standard GU10 rather than a sealed integrated LED, it can be replaced at the end of its life — which on an exterior fitting is a real advantage over the sealed units elsewhere in this range.
Terracotta, black or grey. Terracotta on a chalky gypsum surface is warm, earthen and matte — uncommon in exterior lighting, and it belongs with lime render, rammed earth, timber and natural stone. Grey reads as concrete; black as a defined shape.
3.2 kg on a 210 mm body. Heavy for its size, because cast plaster is dense — check the wall fixing, especially on cladding or lightweight render.
210 mm high by 130 mm wide, projection 150 mm, 3.2 kg, in cast gypsum with a glass diffuser. One GU10 LED at 6 W giving 560 lm, included, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K, CRI >90, not dimmable. 240 V, Class II — double insulated, no earth required, IP65 — dust-tight, rated against water jets. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.

Because render, brick, timber and stone are what the light lands on, and the Engar washes the wall immediately around itself. Above 90 they hold their real colour; low CRI is what makes a facade look grey and cheap at night.
No — Class II, double insulated, which simplifies an exterior install. It is still hard-wired.
