Product Description
xThe Eltz OY50 is a 500 mm LED oyster — 50 W producing 4,650 lm, three colour temperatures, TRIAC dimmable — in a clear textured finish.
4,650 lumens — this will light a room on its own
That is the headline. 93 lumens per watt, and enough output to be the only fitting in a bedroom, a living room or a decent-sized kitchen. Most oysters this size stop well short of it.
It does dim — despite what our record says
Worth being explicit. The product name, the URL and the datasheet all say TRIAC dimmable; our internal record says it is not. We publish dimmable, because that is what two of three sources and the product’s own name state, and because telling you a feature does not exist would cost you something you paid for. Check compatibility with us if your dimmer is trailing-edge or smart.
Bright and dimmable is the useful combination in an oyster
A 4,650 lm ceiling light that cannot dim is unpleasant in a bedroom — it is on or it is off. Being able to run it at full output for cleaning and low for the evening is what makes a single fitting workable in a room you live in.
Three colour temperatures
3000/4000/5000 K, selected on the fitting. Warm for a bedroom, neutral for a kitchen, cool for a laundry or garage.
Slim for its output
ø500 mm and only 80 mm deep, with a 450 mm canopy. Half a metre across but sitting almost flat — it does not intrude into a room with an ordinary ceiling. 2.7 kg.
Three sizes
Eltz is made in three diameters. This is the largest and brightest; ask us if a smaller one suits the room better.

- Bedrooms — bright when needed, dimmed at night.
- Living rooms and kitchens, as the only fitting.
- Hallways and laundries.
- Rooms too low for a pendant.

Questions
Does it actually dim?
Yes — the product name, the URL and the datasheet all say TRIAC dimmable. Our internal record says otherwise, and we think the record is wrong. Check compatibility with us if your dimmer is trailing-edge or smart.
Is it bright enough to be the only light in a room?

Yes, three sizes in the Eltz range. This is the largest and brightest.
Do I need globes?
No. The LED is integrated and included.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
