Eltz 28Cm 18W 3Cct LED Oyster Non-Dimmable Ceiling Light

The Eltz OY28 is a 280 mm LED oyster in a clear textured finish — 18 W giving 2,130 lm, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K.

Small, and brighter than it looks

280 mm across and 80 mm deep, at 1 kg. That is a modest-looking fitting putting out more light than several 400 mm oysters elsewhere in this range — which makes it the right answer for a small room you do not want a large disc in: a hallway, a walk-in robe, a laundry, a small bedroom.

Three colour temperatures — and the record lost one

3000 K, 4000 K, 5000 K, set at installation. Our record lists only 3000 and 4000; the 5000 K setting is absent, and it is the useful one in exactly the rooms this size suits — a laundry or a robe, where you want to see what colour something actually is.

There is no 2700 K, so it starts at 3000 K and never goes fully warm.

250 mm canopy on a 280 mm fitting

The canopy is almost the full width, which on a retrofit is genuinely useful: it covers the mark left by whatever came down. It needs 250 mm of flat ceiling, and at 1 kg it goes onto any standard fixing.

The smallest of three

Eltz comes in three sizes, all 80 mm deep in the same clear textured finish. The step from this to the 400 mm buys 52% more light and TRIAC dimming.

Where it works

• Hallways, laundries, walk-in robes and small bedrooms.
• Retrofits — the 250 mm canopy covers the old mark.
• Anywhere output per watt matters — 118 lm/W.
• ⚠ Not dimmable — 2,130 lm at full, in a bedroom, is a lot.
• ⚠ IP20 — not for a bathroom.
