Product Description
xThe Edge is a 1,200 mm LED batten drawing 40 W for 4,000 lm, with three switchable colour temperatures and an opaline diffuser.
Two corrections to what this page used to say. It is IP20, not IP44 — no water protection, indoor and dry locations only, so it is not suitable for a carport, a laundry sink wall or an exposed patio. And it is not dimmable, as the product name says: adding a dimmer will not work and may damage the driver.
Three colour temperatures, chosen at install
A switch on the fitting selects 3000 K warm, 4500 K neutral or 6500 K daylight. That means one product covers a garage, a laundry and a study without ordering three variants — and it means you can change your mind after seeing it lit, which is the part people underestimate.
4,000 lm from a 1.2 m line
That is a genuine work-light output, comparable to a twin fluorescent tube but from a sealed fitting with no starter, no flicker and nothing to replace. CRI is above 82, which is better than most battens — colours under it look normal rather than washed out, which matters in a laundry or a workshop.
It needs an earth
This is a Class I fitting: it is hard-wired and requires an earth connection. It is an electrician's install, not a plug-in.

- Garages and workshops, at daylight setting.
- Laundries and pantries — dry areas only.
- Storerooms, hallways and stair wells.
- Replacing a failing fluorescent batten of similar length.
Specifying it
1,200 × 83 mm, 38 mm deep, aluminium body with a powder-coated finish and an opaline polycarbonate diffuser. 40 W integrated LED giving 4,000 lm, beam 120°, CRI >82, switchable 3000/4500/6500 K. Not dimmable. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years.

Questions
Can it go in a carport, garage sink area or outdoors?
No. It is IP20 with no water protection, despite what this page previously said. For undercover outdoor use ask us for an IP65 weatherproof batten.
Is it dimmable?
No. The product name says non-dimmable and that is correct — an earlier version of this page said otherwise. Fitting a dimmer will not work and may damage the driver.
How do I choose the colour temperature?
A switch on the fitting selects 3000 K warm, 4500 K neutral or 6500 K daylight, set at installation.
How bright is it?
4,000 lm from 40 W over 1,200 mm — comparable to a twin fluorescent tube, with no flicker and nothing to replace.
Can I install it myself?
No. It is Class I, hard-wired and requires an earth — an electrician's job.
Is the colour rendering good enough for a workshop?
CRI is above 82, better than most battens. Colours look normal rather than washed out.
What is the warranty?
Three years.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
