Product Description
xAn E27 T37 tubular LED globe — 9 W for 850 lm through a smooth opal diffuser, step dimmable — in warm, natural or daylight.
It steps, it does not fade — and no dimmer is needed. This globe is “3 step by switch”: flick the light switch off and straight back on and it drops to the next level. Do not fit it to a dimmer circuit. The record just says “dimmable”, which reads as ordinary dimming and is not what this does.
Why step dimming is genuinely useful
You get three light levels in a fitting with no dimmer at all — in a rental, an older house with no dimmer circuits, or a fitting where running dimmer cable is impractical. The trade is that you cannot set an arbitrary level, and you cycle through the steps rather than turning a dial. And you can change this yourself: it is a globe, not a fitting.
An opal diffuser — no visible filament
Unlike a clear filament globe, the T37 is opal: the source is completely hidden and the whole tube glows evenly. That makes it the right choice in an open fitting where a bare filament would glare — a cage pendant at head height, an exposed wall light, a lamp with no shade.
850 lumens from 9 watts
94 lumens per watt, and a genuinely bright globe — enough to be the only source in a small room. An incandescent of similar output drew about 60 W.
Compact for a tubular
37 mm wide, 115 mm high. Much shorter than the 225 mm T30 filament tube in this range, so it fits inside an enclosed fitting rather than projecting below it. Check the shade depth if you are replacing a standard globe.
Three colour temperatures, fixed by order code
…830 = 3000 K warm, …840 = 4000 K natural, …860 = 6000 K daylight. Not switchable. Buy every globe for one fitting in the same code and the same order — across a multi-arm fitting, one different white is all anyone sees.

Questions
Can I use it on a dimmer?
No — do not fit it to a dimmer circuit. It is "3 step by switch": flick the switch off and straight back on and it drops to the next level.
Do I need an electrician to fit it?
No — it is a globe. The old page carried a line saying otherwise, and another excluding globes from its own warranty, which was boilerplate meant for a light fitting.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
