An E27 T30 tubular filament globe — 8 W for 600 lm at 4000 K, clear glass, 225 mm long, TRIAC dimmable, rated to 20,000 hours.
This one is 4000 K natural white. An earlier version of this page printed 2400 K in its specification block — that is the ultra-warm globe in the same range, a different product. The order code …840 is the 4000 K version. And you can change it yourself: it is a globe, not a fitting.
Inside the tube the filaments are arranged as a cross seen end-on rather than a single strip. That gives it depth from every angle — turn the globe and it does not flatten into a line the way single-plane filaments do. In an open fitting where the globe is the decoration, that is the whole difference.
25 mm wide and 225 mm tall. This is a long globe: in a pendant with a short shade or an open cage it will project well below the fitting, which is exactly the intention. Check the drop before you buy — over a table it is a feature, in a low ceiling fitting it may be too much.
TRIAC (leading-edge). That matters because a filament globe on a dimmer is the whole point — run low, the cross filaments glow like the incandescent tubes they imitate. Check compatibility with us if your dimmer is trailing-edge or smart.
Decorative filaments are almost always 2200–2700 K. At 4000 K this one is neutral white — the filament look with clean, modern light rather than amber nostalgia. Right in a kitchen, a workspace or a contemporary interior; wrong if you want the speakeasy effect, in which case ask us for the 2400 K.
An incandescent tube of this size drew 40–60 W and lasted about 1,000 hours. This is 8 W and twenty times the life — in a fitting you need a ladder to reach, that second figure matters more than the first.
25 mm wide, 225 mm high, 0.05 kg, clear glass. E27 base, 8 W giving 600 lm at 4000 K, CRI >80, beam 360°, quad-cross filament, dimmable — TRIAC, 20,000 hour rated life. 240 V, IP20 — indoor use. Warranty is three years. An ultra-warm 2400 K version is also made.

4000 K natural white — the order code ends 840. An earlier version of this page printed 2400 K in its specification block, which is the ultra-warm globe in the same range, a different product.
No — it is a globe. The old page carried a line saying otherwise, which was boilerplate meant for a light fitting.
Yes, on a TRIAC (leading-edge) dimmer — and that is the point of a filament globe. Run low, the cross filaments glow like the incandescent tubes they imitate.
The filaments form a cross seen end-on rather than a single strip, so the globe has depth from every angle instead of flattening into a line when you turn it.
225 mm, and only 25 mm wide. In a pendant with a short shade it projects well below the fitting — a feature over a table, possibly too much in a low ceiling.
Decorative filaments are almost always 2200–2700 K. This gives the filament look with clean modern light rather than amber nostalgia. Ask us for the 2400 K if you want the warmer effect.
20,000 hours — about twenty times an incandescent tube of the same size, which also drew 40–60 W against this one's 8 W.
