Product Description
xThis is a 5 W E27 T30 tubular LED globe with an opal diffuser — 450 to 490 lm depending on colour — in 3000 K warm white, 4000 K natural white or 6000 K cool daylight.
You do not need an electrician. It is a light globe. Our page said “this fitting must be installed by a licensed electrician” — you screw it into a lamp holder. The warranty line was also self-cancelling: it read “3-year replacement warranty (excluding the globes)” on a product that is a globe. It carries a straight three-year replacement warranty.
Opal, not clear — and that is the choice this globe represents
Telbix makes the same T30 tube in clear glass with a visible filament. This one is opal polycarbonate, and the two do opposite things:
- Clear shows the filament, which is the decoration — for open pendants and cage shades where you want to see it.
- Opal hides the source completely and glows evenly along its length — for fittings where a visible filament would look wrong, or where the globe sits at eye level and a bright point would glare.
Same shape, same base, same wattage; entirely different results.
Three colours, and the output changes with them
450 lm at 3000 K, and up to 490 lm at the cooler settings — cooler LEDs are inherently a little more efficient. Our record gives a flat 450; the datasheet gives 450–470–490, one per colour, and we publish the range.
- 3000 K — warm white. For living areas, bedrooms and anywhere you sit.
- 4000 K — natural white. Kitchens, bathrooms, studies.
- 6000 K — cool daylight, and genuinely cold. Garages, laundries and workshops; most people dislike it in a living room.
Slim — 30 by 97 mm
A narrow tube, only 30 mm across and 97 mm long, and it weighs 50 g. That slimness is the practical reason to choose a T30: it fits compact and decorative fittings that a standard A60 globe is simply too fat for.
It is NOT dimmable. Fitting a non-dimmable globe to a dimmed circuit causes flicker and buzz and can shorten its life. Check the fitting is on a plain switch before you buy. If you need a dimmable T30, the clear filament version is TRIAC dimmable — ask us.

Questions
Do I need an electrician to fit it?
No. It is a light globe — you screw it in. Our page said an electrician was required, which is wrong, and ten of our twenty LED globe listings carried the same line.
Is it covered by a warranty?
Yes — three years, as a replacement warranty. The old page said “3-year replacement warranty (excluding the globes)” on a product that is a globe, which cancelled itself out. It is the second globe we have found with that clause.
Opal or the clear filament version?

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
