This is a 10 W E27 PAR30 LED globe giving 800 lm at 5000 K — IP44 rated, in polycarbonate and aluminium.

An IP44-rated globe, which is genuinely unusual

This is the thing worth knowing. Almost every LED globe is IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. This one is IP44, rated against splashing water from any direction. That means it can go in covered outdoor fittings — a porch light, an eave-mounted fitting, a carport, a sheltered courtyard lantern — where an ordinary globe is not rated to be. If you have an outdoor fitting that takes an E27 and you have been putting indoor globes in it, this is the correct one.

PAR30 is a reflector shape — it throws a beam

A PAR30 has a built-in reflector, so it directs light forward rather than glowing in all directions like a standard A60 globe. That makes it right for spotlights, floodlight housings, track heads and downward exterior fittings, and wrong for a table lamp or an open pendant, where half the light would go nowhere.

5000 K is cool white — choose it deliberately

Cool white, well past the 3000 K most people want indoors. Outdoors and in carports, garages, workshops and security positions it is the right choice: it looks brighter for the same lumens and gives better visual contrast. On a front porch where you want a welcoming light, it will read hard and institutional — ask us for a warmer alternative.

800 lumens from 10 watts

80 lm/W, and roughly the output of a 60 W incandescent — but concentrated into a beam rather than spread, so it appears considerably brighter where it is pointed.

97 mm across — check it fits

A PAR30 is a wide globe: 97 mm across by 95 mm long. That is much larger than a standard A60, so measure the aperture of your fitting before ordering — a housing that takes an A60 will not necessarily take a PAR30.
