Product Description
xAn E14 G45 opal globe — 5 W for 425 lm at 3000 K, non-dimmable.
You can change this yourself — it is a globe, not a fitting.
Opal is the right choice behind a shade — and in front of one
This is the counterpart to the clear filament G45 in the same range, and the choice between them is simple:
- Behind opal glass or fabric, where the globe is never seen — use this one. The filament version would be invisible and costs more.
- In an open fitting at head height, where a bare filament would glare — use this one too. Opal hides the source completely and gives an even white sphere with no hot spot.
The clear filament globe is only worth buying where the globe is visible and meant to be looked at.
425 lumens from 5 watts
85 lumens per watt, and slightly brighter than the 4 W clear version at 400 lm — because opal costs a little efficiency, and the extra watt more than covers it.
Non-dimmable — check before you buy
Stated plainly because it is the commonest mistake with LED globes: this will not dim. On a dimmer circuit it flickers, buzzes or fails early. If your fitting is dimmed, tell us and we will supply the dimmable version instead.
E14, not E27
Small screw base — the fitting used across chandeliers, multi-arm pendants and wall brackets, including the Monte, Shiron, Velden, Pelion and Eamon families. Check what your fitting takes before ordering.
Buy them all together

Questions
Should I choose opal or the clear filament version?
Opal behind any shade, where the globe is never seen — the filament would be invisible and costs more. Opal also in an open fitting at head height, where a bare filament would glare. Clear filament only where the globe is meant to be looked at.
Can I use it on a dimmer?
No — on a dimmer circuit it flickers, buzzes or fails early. Tell us if your fitting is dimmed and we will supply the dimmable version.
How bright is it?

xWarranties
For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

- Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
