Product Description
xThe smallest Dugo, and the only one in the range that is not a mains fitting: a Ø25 mm aluminium column 281 mm tall in white powder coat, with a 1.5 W LED at each end. It is the quiet member of the family — where the 5 W model lights a two-storey façade, this one puts a discreet mark on a garden wall, a step-side pier or a run of fence posts.
It is an extra-low-voltage fitting, and the driver is part of the job
The Dugo 1.5 W runs at 24 V DC. Havit's instruction is specific: use only a suitable 24 V DC constant-voltage LED driver. The driver is what sits between the 240 V supply and the light, and it must be sized above the combined load of everything on the run — each fitting is 3 W in total, so ten of them is 30 W before any headroom. The fitting itself must never see anything but 24 V DC. Cable length matters too at this voltage: a long run drops volts, and the far fitting dims before anyone works out why, so let your electrician size the cable rather than assuming.
What you get for 3 W
Output is quoted per head: 2 × 85 lm, 2 × 95 lm or 2 × 90 lm by colour setting — 4000K is the brightest, 5500K sits just below it and 3000K is the lowest. That is deliberately modest. Through a 36° beam it produces two small, sharp cones rather than a glow, which at this output is exactly right: a row of them at 2–3 m spacing reads as a designed rhythm, where one on its own barely registers. Buy several or buy the larger model.
Rating and installation
It is IP65 and IK08, and because it is extra-low-voltage it is Protection Class 3 — no earth is required at the fitting, unlike the 3 W and 5 W Dugo, which are Class 1. Havit specifies it as not dimmable, and a dimmer on the low-voltage side of a driver will not control it correctly in any case. A matching backing plate and stainless grub screws are supplied, and the plate is the drilling template. It is rated indoor or outdoor but for wall mounting only — never in-ground or submerged. Warranty is 3 years replacement. Lights For You stocks the whole Dugo range, so a garden run of these can share a language with the larger mains fittings at the entry.
Questions
What driver do I need?
A 24 V DC constant-voltage LED driver — Havit names that type specifically. Size it above the total load of every fitting on the run; each Dugo 1.5 W is 3 W in total, so count the fittings and leave headroom rather than running the driver at its limit.
Can I wire it straight to the house supply?
No. It is an extra-low-voltage fitting and must be fed from a 24 V DC driver. Connecting it to the 240 V supply directly will destroy the LED and void the warranty.
Does it need an earth?
No. It is Protection Class 3, the class for separated extra-low-voltage equipment, so no earth is required at the fitting. Note that the 3 W and 5 W Dugo are Class 1 and do need one — the range is not consistent on this point.
Which colour setting is brightest?
4000K, at 2 × 95 lm, with 5500K at 2 × 90 lm and 3000K at 2 × 85 lm. The differences are small; set every fitting in a run to the same value, because a mismatch along a wall is far more visible than 10 lm.
Is it bright enough on its own?
Not really, and that is by design. At 2 × 85–95 lm it is an accent. It works as a repeated element — several at 2–3 m spacing along a wall or fence. For a single fitting that has to do a job, use the 3 W or 5 W Dugo.
Why does the far light look dimmer than the first one?
Almost always voltage drop over a long low-voltage cable run. It is a cable-sizing question rather than a fault, and your electrician can calculate the right conductor size for the length and the total load.
Can it be dimmed?
No. Havit specifies it as non-dimmable, and putting a dimmer between the driver and the fittings will not control them properly regardless.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
