Dugo Up & Down Wall Pillar Light White

Same 280 mm column as the smaller Dugo, opened out to a Ø50 mm body carrying two 5 W LEDs. The step up is not subtle: it produces roughly double the light of the Ø40 mm model, which is the difference between an accent on a low garden wall and a fitting that will actually light the front of a two-storey house.

Output, and where it belongs

Havit quotes it per head — 2 × 530 lm, 2 × 625 lm or 2 × 600 lm by colour setting, so around 1,060–1,250 lm leaving the fitting in total. At that level a pair either side of a front door is a complete entry lighting scheme, and a run of three along a long façade will be plenty. On a single low pillar it will be more than most people want; the 3 W Dugo is the better proportion there.

Which setting is brightest

4000K is the brightest at 2 × 625 lm, with 5500K at 2 × 600 lm and 3000K at 2 × 530 lm. The peak is in the middle, not at the coolest end — worth knowing, because the assumption that cooler means brighter is wrong on this model, and it is also wrong in the other direction on its 3 W sibling, where the two cooler settings are level. Set the switch once, at installation, and set every fitting on a façade the same way.

The beam

A 36° beam up and 36° down: two defined cones rather than a broad wash. On a flat rendered wall the higher output makes those cones read strongly, and at this wattage the upward beam will carry a long way — so leave it room, or the light lands on a soffit rather than on the wall.

Wiring, rating and installation

It runs on 240 V with no separate driver, and is Protection Class 1, so an earth is required at the fitting. Havit specifies it as not dimmable. It is IP65 and IK08, with a clear glass lens, CRI >80, UGR <25 and >30,000 hrs lamp expectancy. A matching backing plate and stainless grub screws are supplied; the plate is the drilling template for the Ø4.8 mm fixings and the cable entry. It is rated indoor or outdoor but for wall mounting only. Warranty is 3 years replacement. Coastal siting — Havit’s condition

Havit’s installation instructions for this fitting state that aluminium fittings should not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environment. That is a condition on where the fitting may go, and it sits beside the IP rating rather than inside it: a fitting can be rated for direct rain and still fall outside this rule, because the issue is salt carried in the air rather than water landing on the surface.
