The Dugo is a slim aluminium column — Ø40 mm across and 280 mm tall — that throws a narrow band of light up the wall and another down it from a single point. Where a wide wall light washes a surface, this one draws two clean lines on it, and that is the whole reason to choose it: on a rendered pillar, a gate post or a smooth entry wall the effect is graphic rather than soft.
Havit publishes a 36° beam angle, which is tight for a wall fitting. It gives a defined cone in each direction rather than a broad glow, so the fitting is at its best on a flat surface it can actually draw on — and at its worst floating on a wall with nothing above or below it, where most of the light simply leaves. Mount it where there is at least half a metre of wall in both directions.
Two 3 W LEDs, quoted per head: 2 × 280 lm at 3000K and 2 × 310 lm at both 4000K and 5500K. Total draw is 6 W. Note the shape of that — the two cooler settings are level with each other, so there is nothing to gain by going to the coolest setting on this model, and stepping down to warm white costs about 10%. The switch is set once at installation.
This is the 240 V Dugo: it wires straight into the wall with no driver to place. It is Protection Class 1, so an earth connection is required at the fitting — the extra-low-voltage version of the same range is Class 3 and needs none, so the two are not interchangeable and should not share a circuit. Havit also specifies it as not dimmable: switch it rather than wiring it to a dimmer.
It is IP65 against dust and water jets and IK08 for impact, which is a genuinely tough figure for a wall fitting and the reason it survives a driveway or a gate post better than most. The lens is clear glass, colour rendering is CRI >80, glare UGR <25 and lamp expectancy >30,000 hrs. It ships with a matching backing plate and stainless grub screws; the plate marks out Ø4.8 mm fixing holes and a Ø11 mm cable entry, and Havit rates it for indoor or outdoor use but for wall mounting only — not in-ground, not submerged. Warranty is 3 years replacement. Lights For You stocks the Dugo in three sizes so a façade can be graded rather than lit with one fitting repeated everywhere.
Two defined cones, one up and one down, rather than a soft wash. On a flat rendered or painted surface it reads as a pair of crisp light bars. On a wall with obstructions, or where the fitting sits near the top of the surface, much of the upward beam is wasted.
4000K and 5500K are level at 2 × 310 lm; 3000K gives 2 × 280 lm. There is no output reason to pick the coolest setting on this model — choose 4000K or 5500K on how you want the finish to read.
Yes. Havit specifies this model as Protection Class 1, so an earth must be connected at the fitting. The extra-low-voltage Dugo in the same range is Class 3 and does not.
No. This version runs directly off the 240 V supply. Only the 1.5 W Dugo needs a separate driver.
No — Havit specifies it as non-dimmable, so it should be switched. Wiring a non-dimmable LED to a dimmer usually causes flicker and can shorten its life.
IK08, which is a high impact rating for a wall light, and IP65 against dust and water jets. That combination is why it holds up beside a driveway or on a gate post. It is rated for wall mounting only — never in-ground or submerged.
The matching backing plate is supplied and doubles as the template: mark the Ø4.8 mm fixing holes and the Ø11 mm cable entry from it, and check those against the physical plate before drilling rather than working from a drawing.
