Dugo Up & Down Wall Pillar Light Black

The Dugo is a slim aluminium column — 40 mm across and 280 mm tall — that throws a narrow 36° band of light up and down the wall rather than a wide wash. It is the tightest beam in this range, which is what makes it an architectural fitting: on a rendered or brick pier it draws two clean stripes instead of lighting the whole face. IP65, so it can take the weather.

Set the colour temperature before you fix it to the wall

The Dugo has a tri-colour selector switch, and it is on the back of the body — not on a globe and not reachable once the fitting is mounted. Havit's installation sequence is explicit: choose 3000K, 4000K or 5500K at the switch first, then fix the body to the backing plate. Getting it wrong means isolating the circuit and taking the fitting off the wall to change it, so agree the colour temperature with whoever is installing it before they start.

Where it works

• Driveway piers and gate posts, one either side, with the narrow beam grazing the brickwork.
• Modern facades where a wide wash would flatten the surface and a stripe reads as deliberate.
• Exposed entry walls with no eave — IP65 covers water jets from any direction.
• Courtyard and boundary walls, spaced to repeat the stripe along a run.

Specifying it

240 V AC straight to mains, no driver, and Class 1 — earth first, licensed electrician. The LED is built in at 2 × 3 W: the module is sealed and Havit states it is not user-replaceable, so there is no globe to buy now or later. Output is 560 lm at 3000K and 620 lm at both 4000K and 5500K across the two heads, which Havit publishes per head as 280, 310 and 310 lm. Note that it does not climb with colour temperature — 4000K and 5500K produce the same figure. Aluminium body, clear glass, IK08, 36° beam, and a 3-year replacement warranty.

Installing it so the warranty survives

The supplied gasket has to be fitted and the cable entry sealed, or water gets in and the warranty goes with it. Havit excludes aluminium fittings within 5 km of salt water, says the fitting is for wall mounting only — never in-ground or submerged — and warns against pressure washers and irrigation spray, because IP65 is a rating for water jets, not for high-pressure cleaning. Check the gasket periodically in exposed positions.
