Doreza 40Cm Pendant Light

The Doreza PE40 is a ø400 mm pendant draping iron and crystal glass in a glossy gold finish — four E14 globes at 25 W each.

Crystal that drapes rather than sits

The distinction worth making. Most crystal fittings are rigid — crystal fixed into a frame. The Doreza drapes, so the glass hangs and moves with the form of the fitting. Lit, that produces a cascade of scattered light rather than fixed points, and the pendant reads as fluid rather than architectural.

Glossy gold, and it matters here

Gloss, not brushed or matte. On a crystal fitting that is the right call: the polished metal reflects the light the crystal scatters, so the whole piece participates rather than the crystal alone doing the work. Against a matte frame the same crystal would read as isolated sparkle.

Shallow for its width

ø400 mm across, 260 mm high, on a ø105 mm canopy and a 2,000 mm suspension. Wider than it is deep, so it spreads over a table without eating headroom — which lets a crystal fitting work under an ordinary ceiling.

Four E14 globes — 25 W each, 100 W total

Note the base: E14 small Edison screw, not E27. Not supplied. Behind draped crystal, the globes are partly visible and their light is what the glass scatters — so buy all four from one batch. A single globe of a different white shows across the whole drape. Dimming is globe dependent: our record says it does not dim, and the record is wrong.

• Dining tables and entryways.
• Over a hall table, where the drape is seen close.
• Rooms with ordinary ceilings, where a deeper chandelier will not fit.
• Formal and glamour interiors.
