DOMUS TRIM-606 63X63 RECESSED TRIM

The Domus TRIM-606 is a 630 × 630 mm recessed plaster trim for the 606 series LED panel — a 45 W panel giving up to 3,450 lumens, IP44, in 3000 K / 4000 K / 6000 K.

What the 606 panel is, and where it goes

A 45 W LED panel in a 595 mm square, 10 mm thick — a natural anodised aluminium frame with an opal diffuser. 595 mm is the standard 600 mm grid module, which is what this size exists for.

• ✅ It drops straight into a T-bar grid ceiling in place of a tile, needing no trim at all. That is the primary use: offices, schools, retail back-of-house, commercial corridors.
• ✅ With this recessed plaster trim it can go into a plasterboard ceiling instead — which is what makes it usable in a shop fit-out or a converted space with no grid.
• ✅ A surface-mount or wire-suspension kit is also available where the ceiling cannot be cut — concrete, or a rated ceiling that must stay intact.
• ⚠ Three mounting options, three different parts. Ask us which you need.

The numbers — and one that runs backwards

• 3,250 lm at 3000 K, 3,000 lm at 4000 K, 3,450 lm at 6000 K from 45 W.
• ⚠ The 4000 K setting is the dimmest, not the middle. That is the reverse of the usual pattern — on most fittings here 4000 K gains output over 3000 K. If you are specifying 4000 K for an office, expect about 8% less light than at 3000 K.
• CRI ≥80, high-efficiency SMD, 50,000 hours, IP44.
• ⚠ 6000 K is a strong daylight white, colder than the 5700 K most of this catalogue uses. Workshops and inspection areas rather than offices.

Why a 600 mm panel rather than downlights

• One aperture instead of six. At around 3,200 lm a single 600 mm panel covers what four to six downlights would — fewer holes, less installation, one thing to clean.
• Even, shadowless light. The opal diffuser lights the whole surface, so there are no scallops on walls and no bright points to look at from a desk.
• ⚠ It reads as commercial, deliberately. In an office, a classroom or a corridor that is right; in a home living space it will look like an office.
• ⚠ At 10 mm thick the panel is very slim, but the recessed frame still needs depth above the ceiling. Check the void.

⚠ Dimming: read the qualifier

The datasheet says “dimmable when used in conjunction with the Domus dimmer series. May work with others but not tested” — materially weaker than “dimmable”.

✅ Tell us the dimmer you intend to use and we will tell you whether it is a tested pairing before you buy both. On a floor of panels that is worth confirming.
