⛔⛔ Its lumen table runs backwards, and the catalogue proves it

• ⭐ The attached sheet publishes: 3000 K 3,400 lm · 4000 K 3,000 lm · 6000 K 3,550 lm.
• ⭐⭐ THE 4000 K FIGURE IS LOWER THAN THE 3000 K ONE, WHICH REVERSES A NEARLY UNIVERSAL PATTERN. ⭐ Cooler light is normally brighter for the same wattage, because warmer light needs heavier phosphor conversion and conversion costs output.
• ⭐ WE TESTED IT ACROSS THE CATALOGUE:

• ⭐ Both exceptions are TRIM panels, and both read exactly 4000 K = 3,000 lm. ⭐⭐ THE IDENTICAL VALUE ACROSS TWO DIFFERENT PRODUCTS IS THE SIGNATURE OF ONE WRONG NUMBER COPIED TWICE, not two independent measurements.
• ⭐ AND THE SIBLING SETTLES THE DIRECTION. ⭐ The TRIM-306 publishes 2,200 → 2,300 → 2,350 across the same three colours — ascending, as expected.
• ⭐ SO THE 4000 K FIGURE HERE SHOULD SIT BETWEEN 3,400 AND 3,550, not below both. ⭐ We have published the figures as given and flagged the one that cannot be right. ⭐ If the 4000 K output matters to your calculation, ask us and we will get it confirmed.

⚠ And the same sheet disagrees with itself about which colours exist

⭐ Its colour-temperature field reads “3000K - 4000K - 5000K” while its lumen table names 6000 K. ⭐ One document, two answers, on the same page. ⭐ The 306 sibling has the same pattern. ⭐ Tell us which colour you need and we will confirm what is actually available before you order.

⭐ What a recessed trim is, and what it is not

• ⭐ An LED panel is designed to drop into a suspended grid ceiling, where the grid holds it. ⭐ A recessed trim is the frame that lets the same panel be set into a plasterboard ceiling instead — flush, with a plastered edge, so the ceiling reads as a plane with a light in it.
• ⭐⭐ THAT IS THE OPPOSITE OF THE SURFACE-MOUNT KIT, WHICH PUTS THE PANEL 66 mm PROUD OF THE CEILING. ⭐ Three mounting options exist for the same panel: grid, recessed trim, and surface kit — ⭐ and they produce visibly different results.
• ⭐ THE TRIM IS THE ONE THAT LOOKS RESIDENTIAL. ⭐ A surface-mounted panel reads as commercial equipment in a home; a recessed one reads as a flush light. ⭐ In a kitchen or laundry that difference is the whole decision.
• ⚠ THE COST IS THE CEILING WORK. ⭐ A recessed trim needs an opening cut and plastered in, so it is a plasterer as well as an electrician. ⭐ On new work that is nothing; on a retrofit it is a real addition.

⛔ Its datasheet describes the panel, not the trim

⭐ The sheet publishes 45 W, lumens, CRI ≥80 and a dimmable note. ⭐ Those belong to the panel the trim holds. ⭐ A trim is a frame with an outside dimension, an aperture and a depth. ⭐ This programme has now found the same pattern on four backlit-panel frames and both TRIM products — ⭐ six frames, all carrying panel specifications. ⚠ The sheet is also flagged unverifiable, so we used it only where the product record corroborates it.

⭐ 1,230 × 330 mm — check it against the joists

⭐ The trim's outside dimension is 1,230 × 330 mm and it is 41 mm deep. ⭐⭐ A 1,195 mm APERTURE WILL CROSS TWO OR THREE JOISTS AT 450 mm CENTRES IF IT RUNS ACROSS THEM. ⭐ That means trimming and noggins — a carpentry job before the electrical one. ⭐ Running the panel parallel to the joists avoids it entirely, so decide the orientation early. ⚠ At 41 mm deep the void requirement is modest, which is the one part of this that is easy.

⭐ Dimmable, but only tested on one dimmer series

⭐ The sheet is unusually candid: “Dimmable when used in conjunction with the Domus dimmer series. May work with others but not tested.” ⭐⭐ THAT IS WORTH READING AS A WARNING RATHER THAN A DISCLAIMER. ⭐ LED dimming compatibility is genuinely unpredictable, and a panel on an untested dimmer commonly flickers, buzzes, or refuses to dim below half. ⭐ If the panel must dim, either use the Domus dimmer or tell us what dimmer is specified and we will check before you order.

Panel not included. ⛔⛔ ITS LUMEN TABLE PUBLISHES 4000 K AS DIMMER THAN 3000 K, which reverses a nearly universal pattern — cooler light is normally brighter for the same wattage because warmer light needs heavier phosphor conversion. WE TESTED IT: 208 of 210 products run the expected way and only two do not, BOTH TRIM PANELS, and BOTH READ EXACTLY 4000 K = 3,000 lm. An identical value across two different products is the signature of one wrong number copied twice. ⭐ The TRIM-306 sibling ascends properly, so the figure here should sit between 3,400 and 3,550.
