The Domus TRIM-306 is a recessed plaster trim for 595 × 295 mm LED panels — 630 × 330 mm outside, 41 mm deep, in white.
⭐ Its colour-temperature field reads “3000K - 4000K - 6000K” in the lumen table, and the panel product codes named on the same sheet describe warm and neutral white variants. ⚠ The TRIM-312's cct field says 5000 K where its table says 6000 K. ⭐ Between the two documents the available colour temperatures are stated inconsistently. ⭐ Tell us which colour you need and we will confirm what can actually be ordered before you commit.
⭐ At 595 mm the aperture fits comfortably between joists at 450 mm centres if it runs parallel to them, and crosses only one if it runs across. ⭐⭐ THAT IS A MEANINGFULLY EASIER INSTALLATION THAN THE 1,195 mm TRIM-312, WHICH CROSSES TWO OR THREE. ⭐ And 41 mm of depth is a modest void requirement — far less than a downlight body. ⭐ Decide the orientation against the joists before cutting.
⭐ The sheet is candid: dimmable, “Tested on the Domus dimmer series. May work on other but not tested.” ⭐⭐ READ THAT AS A WARNING RATHER THAN A DISCLAIMER. ⭐ LED dimming compatibility is genuinely unpredictable, and a panel on an untested dimmer commonly flickers, buzzes, or will not dim below half. ⭐ If dimming matters, use the Domus dimmer or tell us what is specified and we will check first.
⭐ The sheet publishes 36 W, lumens and CRI ≥80 — the panel's figures. ⭐ A trim is a frame with an outside dimension, an aperture and a depth. ⭐ This programme has now found the pattern on four backlit-panel frames and both TRIM products: six frames, all carrying panel specifications. ⚠ The sheet is also flagged unverifiable, so it was used only where the product record corroborates it.

Recessed plaster trim for 595 × 295 mm LED panels. 630 × 330 mm outside, 41 mm deep, white. Panel not included. ⭐ ITS LUMEN TABLE IS WHAT PROVED ITS SIBLING'S WRONG. This sheet publishes 2,200, 2,300 and 2,350 lumens across 3000, 4000 and 6000 K — ascending, as it should be, because cooler light is brighter for the same wattage. The TRIM-312 publishes 3,400 → 3,000 → 3,550, running backwards at 4000 K, and having a correct sibling in the same range is what makes that identifiable as an error rather than an oddity. ⭐ AT 595 mm IT ALSO CROSSES ONLY ONE JOIST where the 1,195 mm version crosses two or three — a meaningfully easier installation.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Yes, and they are what proved its sibling's wrong. This sheet publishes 2,200, 2,300 and 2,350 lumens across 3000, 4000 and 6000K — ascending, as it should be, because cooler light is brighter for the same wattage. The TRIM-312 publishes 3,400 then 3,000 then 3,550, running backwards at 4000K, and having a correct sibling in the same range is what makes that identifiable as an error.
Often the right one domestically. It is a half-module — half of the standard 600mm grid tile — and over a kitchen bench, in a laundry, along a hallway or above a stair landing it gives even shadowless light without becoming the ceiling's main feature, where a full 600 square would dominate. Two side by side also read well over a run of bench, better than one large square, because the light follows the working surface.
For a laundry or a small kitchen, yes — 36W and 2,200 to 2,350 lumens is a genuine room light rather than a supplementary one.
Appearance. Three mountings exist for the same panel: a suspended grid, this recessed trim, and a surface-mount kit. The trim sets the panel flush into plasterboard with a plastered edge, so the ceiling reads as a plane with a light in it. The surface kit leaves it 66mm proud, which is unmistakably commercial in a home.
A plasterer as well as an electrician — the opening has to be cut and plastered in. On new work that is nothing; on a retrofit it is a real addition.
Much easier than the larger version. At 595mm the aperture fits comfortably between joists at 450mm centres if it runs parallel, and crosses only one if it runs across — where the 1,195mm TRIM-312 crosses two or three. At 41mm of depth the void requirement is also modest, far less than a downlight body. Decide the orientation against the joists before cutting.
Reliably on the Domus dimmer series. The sheet says "Tested on the Domus dimmer series. May work on other but not tested" — read that as a warning rather than a disclaimer, because LED dimming compatibility is genuinely unpredictable and a panel on an untested dimmer commonly flickers, buzzes or will not dim below half. Tell us what dimmer is specified and we will check first.
