The Domus TRAK 3-Circuit Adaptor is the connector between a light and the track — 70 × 90 × 40 mm, 240 V, in black or white.
⭐ An adaptor is the standard interface between the track and whatever hangs from it. ⭐⭐ THAT MEANS PENDANTS AND OTHER FITTINGS CAN BE PUT ON TRACK, not only purpose-made track heads — ⭐ which is a genuinely useful thing in a retail or hospitality fitout where the pendant over a table may need to move when the table does. ⭐ Confirm the fitting's weight and its fixing arrangement with us first; the adaptor's own load limit is not published.
⭐ The adaptor sits between the track and the fitting, so it is seen on every head in the run. ⭐⭐ MATCH IT TO THE TRACK, NOT TO THE FITTING. ⭐ A black adaptor on white track is a row of dark blocks along a white line, and it draws the eye to the hardware rather than the light. ⭐ Where the track, adaptor and head all match, the run reads as one continuous piece of equipment. ⭐ On an exposed-services ceiling, black throughout usually disappears best; against plastered white, white does.
⭐ One adaptor per fitting. ⚠ THAT IS OBVIOUS AND STILL THE COMMONEST OMISSION ON A TRACK ORDER — ⭐ because the track is ordered by length and the heads by quantity, and the adaptor belongs to neither list. ⭐ Some heads ship with an adaptor included and some do not. ⭐ Tell us which heads you are using and we will say how many adaptors the order needs.

3-circuit track adaptor. 70 × 90 × 40 mm, 220–240 V AC. Black or white. 3-year warranty. ⭐⭐ THIS IS THE SMALL PART THAT MAKES THE THREE CIRCUITS REAL. The track provides the capability, the adaptor assigns it, and the switchboard makes it usable — get any of the three wrong and the other two are wasted. ⭐ SETTING IT IS DONE AT INSTALLATION AND RARELY REVISITED, so record the circuit assignment on a ceiling plan and leave it with the building: a shop that cannot remember which heads are on which circuit ends up switching all three together, which is exactly what the system was bought to avoid. ⚠ ONE PER FITTING, and it is the commonest omission on a track order because it belongs to neither the length list nor the head list.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
It selects which of the three live conductors a given head connects to. A 3-circuit track carries three; the adaptor assigns the head to one. So the track provides the capability, the adaptor assigns it, and the switchboard makes it usable — get any of the three wrong and the other two are wasted.
Practically, yes — it is done at installation and rarely revisited. Which is why circuit assignment is worth writing down: a shop that cannot remember which heads are on which circuit ends up switching all three together, exactly the outcome the system was bought to avoid. Record it on a ceiling plan and leave it with the building; it takes five minutes at handover and saves a survey later.
Yes — an adaptor is the standard interface between the track and whatever hangs from it, so it is not limited to purpose-made track heads. That is genuinely useful in a retail or hospitality fitout where the pendant over a table may need to move when the table does. Confirm the fitting's weight and fixing arrangement with us first; the adaptor's own load limit is not published.
One per fitting — obvious, and still the commonest omission on a track order, because the track is ordered by length and the heads by quantity and the adaptor belongs to neither list. Some heads ship with an adaptor included and some do not. Tell us which heads you are using and we will say how many the order needs.
Match it to the track, not to the fitting. The adaptor sits between the two and is seen on every head in the run — a black adaptor on white track is a row of dark blocks along a white line, and it draws the eye to the hardware rather than the light. Where track, adaptor and head all match, the run reads as one continuous piece of equipment.
The record's are. The attached datasheet is flagged contradicted and its item list names four other products, describing the track system generally rather than this adaptor. We have published the record's own figures — 70 x 90 x 40mm, 220–240V, 3-year warranty — which the title and family description corroborate.
More than most people order. Track by length, heads by quantity, one adaptor per head, a feed or live end per run, a connector per join, an end cap per run end, and suspension every 1.5 to 2 metres if it is not fixed directly. A track run is a system rather than a product. Tell us the run length, head count and mounting and we will list everything in one go.
