The Domus TRAK 3-circuit dead end closes the far end of a track run. 40 × 40 mm, IP20, in black or white.
✅ This is the one track component you can order without asking us anything. A dead end carries no load and makes no connection — it caps the open end of the track so the conductors are not exposed and the extrusion is finished.
Every run needs one at each end that is not fed. A straight run fed from one end needs one; a run fed from the centre needs two.
✅ Order a spare. They are inexpensive, they are the part most easily lost between delivery and fit-off, and a run left open at the end is both untidy and unsafe.
The datasheet attached to this product is the track's, not the dead end's — its parts list contains the track lengths and not this component.
✅ On a dead end that matters far less than it does elsewhere in the range. This part carries no load, so the current rating that is missing from the track's feeds and joiners is not a question here. Where it does matter is the feed — ask us about that one.
Black or white, to match the track.
⚠ Match it to the track, not to the fittings. A dead end sits in line with the extrusion and reads as part of it; a mismatched cap at the end of a run is more visible than a mismatched fitting hanging from it.
3-circuit track dead end. 40 × 40 mm, IP20. Black (22160) or white (22161). Closes the terminating end of a TRAK 3-circuit run so the conductors are not exposed and the extrusion is finished. Carries no load and makes no connection. Part of the modular TRAK 3-circuit system. Warranty 3 years.
⚠ The datasheet attached to this product is the track's, not this component's — though on a part that carries no load that matters far less than it does on the feeds and joiners. Tell us the run length and shape and we will count the dead ends with the rest of the list.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
One at every terminating end of the run. A straight run fed from one end needs one dead end at the far end; a run fed from the centre needs two, one at each end. An L or U shaped run needs one at every end that terminates — count the ends, not the lengths. Order a spare: they are inexpensive and they are the part most easily lost between delivery and fit-off.
No. Track carries exposed live conductors by design — that is what lets a fitting be clipped in anywhere along it — so an open end leaves those conductors accessible. The dead end closes them off. It is not a cosmetic part, though it does also finish the extrusion properly where a run stops short of a wall.
None. It makes no electrical connection at all — it caps the end. That is why it is the one component in this track range you can order without checking a current rating with us first.
Usually yes, unless the track has been cut to fit tight against it — and cutting track to a hard tolerance on site is rarely worth the effort. Order one for each end and you will not be caught out.
Track lengths, a feed (a live end in the correct hand, or a centre feed live joiner), joiners at every junction, and these dead ends at every terminating end. Tell us the total length and the shape and we will list every piece so nothing turns up missing on the day.
The track. A dead end sits in line with the extrusion and reads as part of it, so a mismatched cap at the end of a run is far more visible than a mismatched fitting hanging from it. Black or white, to match.
No. Like the rest of the TRAK system it is IP20, indoor dry areas only.
