The Domus THOR-PRO-23 Reflector is a replaceable beam-shaping reflector for the 23 W THOR-PRO head — available at 15°, 24°, 45° and 60°.

⭐ The beam angle is changeable, and at 23 W it matters more
  • ⭐ The head ships with a 36° reflector; these are the alternatives. ⭐ Position, aim and optic are all adjustable after installation.
  • ⭐⭐ AT 23 W THE ANGLE CHOICE HAS MORE CONSEQUENCE THAN AT 15, BECAUSE THERE IS MORE LIGHT TO PLACE. ⭐ The same 2,100 lumens through 15° is a genuinely intense pool; through 60° it is a broad general wash. ⭐ Two entirely different lighting effects from one fitting.

  • ⭐ IT REDISTRIBUTES LIGHT RATHER THAN REMOVING IT. ⭐ Unlike a lens or a honeycomb, a reflector costs essentially no output — the same lumens simply cover a different area. ⭐ Illuminance on the target rises as the angle narrows.
  • ⚠ IT CANNOT FIX A BAD POSITION. ⭐ Narrowing the beam makes a mis-aimed fitting miss more precisely, and at 23 W a missed narrow beam is conspicuous. ⭐ Aim first, then narrow.

Yes. The head ships with a 36 degree reflector and these are the alternatives at 15, 24, 45 and 60 degrees. On track, position, aim and optic are all adjustable after installation.

Does the angle matter more at 23W than 15W?

What pool size will I get?

From a 4m ceiling to a 1m surface, which is a 3m throw and where a 23W head belongs: 15 degrees gives about 0.8m across, 24 about 1.3m, 36 about 1.9m and 60 about 3.5m. Choose from the object rather than the room.

Is 60 degrees a sensible choice on a 23W head?

Often not. It produces a lot of undifferentiated light and stops being display lighting. If general lighting is what the area needs, a cheaper wider fitting usually does it better — the 23W head with a narrow optic is where the money is well spent.

Does a reflector cost me output?

Essentially none, unlike a lens or a honeycomb. It redistributes light rather than removing it — the same lumens simply cover a different area, and illuminance on the target rises as the angle narrows.

Will a narrower reflector help with glare?

No, if anything the reverse. A 15 degree reflector concentrates the source as well as the beam, so a visible fitting becomes harder to look at. Glare is the baffle's job first and the honeycomb lens's second — start with a black baffle, which costs almost no light.

How should I order them?

Take the heads at 36 degrees as supplied and hold a small stock of 24 degree reflectors for feature positions. Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
