The Domus SUSP 5M KIT is a 5 metre stainless steel suspension kit for track and linear fittings — sold each.
| Kit | Title | ⛔ Length recorded |
|---|---|---|
| SUSP 2M | 2,000 mm | ⛔ 2 mm |
| SUSP 3M | 3,000 mm | ⛔ 100 mm |
| TRAK-3 1.5M / 3.0M | 1,500 / 3,000 mm | ⛔ 100 mm both |
| ⭐ SUSP 5M — this | 5,000 mm | ⭐ None published |
⭐ The record specifies stainless steel construction. ⭐⭐ ON A 5 METRE DROP IN AN INDUSTRIAL SPACE THAT IS A GENUINE SPECIFICATION RATHER THAN A DETAIL. ⭐ Warehouses and workshops carry humidity, dust, forklift exhaust and sometimes chemical vapour — ⭐ and a suspension wire is a thin component under continuous tension where corrosion has a disproportionate effect. ⭐ A plated steel wire that would last decades in an office may not in a wash-down area.
⭐ Suspension kits adjust downward, not upward. ⭐ A 5 metre kit can be set to hang at 3 m; a 3 metre kit can never reach 5. ⭐⭐ ON AN INDUSTRIAL BUILDING WHERE THE STRUCTURE HEIGHT IS OFTEN UNCERTAIN UNTIL SITE MEASURE, THAT ARGUES FOR THE LONGER KIT EVERY TIME. ⭐ The excess is coiled or trimmed at the canopy and costs nothing; a kit that is short costs a re-order and a crane or scissor lift booked twice.
⭐ One kit suspends one point; a fitting needs at least two, and a continuous run needs one roughly every 1.5 to 2 metres to prevent sag. ⭐ ON A 20 METRE RUN THAT IS ELEVEN OR TWELVE KITS — ⭐ and at 5 metres each, that is also 100 metres of suspension wire and a meaningful installation time. ⭐ Tell us the run length and the structure height and we will work out the quantity.
⭐ No datasheet, no maximum supported weight, no cable gauge, no compatible fitting list. ⭐⭐ AT FIVE METRES THE WEIGHT LIMIT IS NOT A FORMALITY. ⭐ A loaded three-circuit track with a dozen heads suspended five metres from a purlin is a different mechanical proposition from a light linear fitting, and it is the figure we would want confirmed before any order. ⭐ Tell us what you are hanging, the run length and the structure type, and we will confirm the kit suits.

5 metre stainless steel suspension kit for track and linear fittings. Sold each. Adjustable downward. ⭐ IT PUBLISHES NO LENGTH FIELD, WHICH IS BETTER THAN ITS SIBLINGS MANAGE — the 2 M kit records 2 mm and both TRAK-3 kits record 100 mm regardless of being 1.5 m and 3.0 m. An absent figure is less misleading than a wrong one: nobody sorts on a blank, and plenty of people would act on "2 mm". ⭐⭐ AT FIVE METRES THE REASON TO SUSPEND IS LIGHT LEVEL, NOT APPEARANCE: illuminance falls with the square of distance, so bringing a fitting from 8 m to 3 m above the floor multiplies the light on the floor by roughly seven. ⚠ Sway is serious at this length — plan lateral restraint.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Five metres, from the title. It publishes no length field at all — which is actually better than its siblings manage: the 2M kit records 2mm, the 3M records 100mm, and both TRAK-3 kits record 100mm despite being 1.5m and 3.0m. An absent figure is less misleading than a wrong one, because nobody sorts on a blank and plenty of people would act on "2mm".
For light level, not appearance. Illuminance falls with the square of the distance, so bringing a fitting from 8m to 3m above the floor multiplies the light on the floor by roughly seven. Suspending is often far cheaper than specifying a fitting powerful enough to work from the structure.
A serious one. A long pendant drop moves in air currents from doors, extraction and vehicle movement, and the amplitude grows with length. On a run of fittings, adjacent units swaying out of phase is both visually obvious and mechanically wearing. Lateral restraint is normal at this length and far easier to plan than to retrofit.
More than on a short kit. Warehouses and workshops carry humidity, dust, forklift exhaust and sometimes chemical vapour, and a suspension wire is a thin component under continuous tension where corrosion has a disproportionate effect. A plated steel wire that would last decades in an office may not in a wash-down area.
Buy longer. Kits adjust downward, not upward — a 5m kit can be set to hang at 3m, but a 3m kit can never reach 5. On an industrial building where the structure height is often uncertain until site measure, that argues for the longer kit every time: the excess is coiled or trimmed at the canopy and costs nothing, where a short kit costs a re-order and a scissor lift booked twice.
More than most people expect. One kit suspends one point, a fitting needs at least two, and a continuous run needs one roughly every 1.5 to 2 metres to prevent sag. On a 20 metre run that is eleven or twelve kits — and at five metres each, that is also 100 metres of suspension wire and a meaningful installation time.
No datasheet, no maximum supported weight, no cable gauge and no compatible fitting list. At five metres the weight limit is not a formality: a loaded three-circuit track with a dozen heads suspended five metres from a purlin is a different mechanical proposition from a light linear fitting. Tell us what you are hanging, the run length and the structure type and we will confirm the kit suits.
