The Domus SUNSET-300-RND-SEN is a surface-mounted LED oyster with a microwave sensor — 300 mm, 25 W, 2,500–2,650 lumens, IP54, IK10, Class II, switchable 3000/4000/5700 K.
⭐ IK10 is the highest impact rating in common use — a 20 joule impact, roughly a 5 kg mass dropped 400 mm. ⭐⭐ IN AN APARTMENT CORRIDOR, A CAR PARK OR A SCHOOL, FITTINGS ARE HIT BY FURNITURE, LADDERS AND SPORTS EQUIPMENT ROUTINELY. ⭐ A polycarbonate IK10 body is what stops a common area needing a fitting replaced every few months, and on a strata building the replacement labour costs more than the fitting every time.
⭐ Double insulated, so it installs where there is no earth at the fitting. ⭐ ON A REFIT OF AN OLDER COMMON AREA THAT IS OFTEN THE DECIDING PROPERTY — ⭐ a Class I metal fitting cannot legally go there without rewiring the circuit, and rewiring a strata common area is a project rather than a maintenance job. ⭐ The polycarbonate body is a deliberate engineering choice, not a cost one.
⭐ The sheet says dimmable with remote control only. ⚠ It cannot be dimmed from a wall dimmer, so a scheme assuming a dimmer circuit will not work. ⭐⭐ AND ON A COMMON AREA THE REMOTE BECOMES BUILDING EQUIPMENT. ⭐ Sensor settings, standby period and dim level all live in it, so if it is lost the fittings keep their last settings and become unadjustable. ⭐ Ask us about the remote when you order, and make sure the building manager knows it exists.
⭐ 3000, 4000 and 5700 K, selected at installation. ⭐ IN A COMMON AREA, 4000 K IS USUALLY THE RIGHT ANSWER — ⭐ warm enough not to feel institutional, cool enough to read as clean and to give reasonable camera clarity if there is CCTV. ⚠ Set every fitting in a corridor to the same temperature and record it, ⭐ because a replacement fitting years later defaulting to a different setting is exactly how a uniform run stops being uniform.

Almost certainly through-wall detection. Microwave passes through plasterboard, so a corridor fitting near an apartment door can see movement inside the apartment. Reduce the detection area — it is adjustable at 100%, 75%, 50% and 25%. That is the single most common complaint with microwave sensors and it is a setting, not a fault.
In a stairwell, 10 minutes is usually right — people move slowly and a light that drops out mid-flight is worse than one that runs a little longer. In a store room, 1 minute is enough. A daylight threshold is also published, so the fitting can be stopped from triggering during the day in a corridor with a window.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
You must lodge a return request via the below request form.
Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
