The Domus STRIP COB KIT is a complete dual-colour strip kit — 6 W per metre, 608 LEDs per metre, CRI ≥90, IP44, switchable 3000/4000 K, in 2 metre or 5 metre lengths.
⭐ 610 lm at 3000 K and 715 at 4000 K, so about 102 to 119 lumens per watt. ⭐ THAT IS GOOD EFFICIENCY FOR CRI ≥90 — ⭐ high colour rendering usually costs output, because the phosphors that fill in the spectrum absorb light doing it. ⭐ CRI ≥90 is the right call for the positions a short strip kit goes: under a wall cabinet where food is prepared, beside a mirror where faces are looked at, inside a wardrobe where clothes are matched. ⭐ A CRI 80 strip is brighter per watt and visibly worse at all three.
⭐ At 608 per metre the spacing is about 1.6 mm, which reads as a continuous line rather than points. ⭐ THAT MATTERS MOST IN EXACTLY THE POSITIONS A KIT SUITS — ⭐ a short run under a cabinet is seen close up and often reflected in a benchtop or a splashback, where individual LEDs would be obvious. ⚠ The 120° beam is narrower than the 180° of the bare COB strips elsewhere in this range, ⭐ which suggests the kit includes a profile or diffuser shaping the output.

Dual-colour COB LED strip kit. 6 W per metre, 240 V AC input. 610 lm at 3000 K, 715 lm at 4000 K, switchable. 608 LEDs per metre, dotless. CRI ≥90. 120° beam. IP44. Not dimmable. 50,000 hrs. 2 m or 5 m. ⭐⭐ THIS PRODUCT CORRECTED ONE OF OUR OWN FINDINGS. We had reported five strip products wrongly publishing 240 V on 24 V DC products, and this was one of the five — but it is a KIT, and its own datasheet also says 240 V AC. A kit with an included driver legitimately takes 240 V as its input, so both figures are true and describe different things. THE CORRECT COUNT IS FOUR. ⭐ The lesson is that a field flagged as wrong on a component is not necessarily wrong on a kit: the product's form changes what the number means.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Because this is a kit rather than a bare strip. A kit with an included driver takes 240V as its input — that is what you connect to the wall, and whatever the strip itself runs at is downstream of the driver. Both figures can be true and describe different things.
By us, and we corrected it. Earlier in this programme we reported five strip products publishing 240V on 24V DC products and called it an error in each case. This was one of the five — but on the other four the sheet says 24V DC and only the record says 240, which is a genuine contradiction, where here both agree. The correct count is four. A field flagged as wrong on a component is not necessarily wrong on a kit.
One order instead of four. Everywhere else in this catalogue LED strip is sold as a component — strip only, driver required, profile mandatory, connectors separate — so a working installation means assembling four purchases and getting each right. For a short run, a kit is worth more than the price difference, because the failure mode on a component order is not cost but a missing part discovered on site.
When the run does not fit it. Fixed at 2 or 5 metres, fixed at 6W, fixed at IP44 — if the run is 7 metres, or needs to be brighter, or goes somewhere wetter, the component route is the one that reaches it.
The listing does not itemise it, which is worth resolving before you order — whether a profile is included is the question that most often matters. Ask us and we will confirm the contents.
Very much, for the positions a short strip kit goes: under a wall cabinet where food is prepared, beside a mirror where faces are looked at, inside a wardrobe where clothes are matched. A CRI 80 strip is brighter per watt and visibly worse at all three. At 102 to 119 lumens per watt this is also good efficiency for CRI ≥90 — high colour rendering usually costs output.
No. At 608 per metre the spacing is about 1.6mm, which reads as a continuous line. That matters most in exactly the positions a kit suits — a short run under a cabinet is seen close up and often reflected in a benchtop or splashback, where individual LEDs would be obvious.
